Trish Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 That last play summed up Lagow's career here so far. Quote
wirenuts Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 they played with heart and effort. thats a whole lot more than i can say for the basketball version this evening. hsrtxp, WayneFleekHoosier, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 2 others 5 Quote
ThompsonHoosier Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Probably shouldn't put the guys down, but come on Griffin! You were Big Ten kicker of the year as a freshman!! So frustrating being so close every time and not getting over the hump! Alford Bailey 1 Quote
akhosrof Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 For everyone saying horrible offense, I think that is completely disrespecting Utah's defense. That is a defense with lots of NFL talent on it and a top notch coaching staff. Yards weren't going to come easy tonight regardless. They had turnovers, we had turnovers. Special teams was the difference. Their kicker had two kicks that barely went in, ours missed one. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ThompsonHoosier and Alford Bailey 2 Quote
Hovadipo Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 Bad clock management. Should have used the timeout earlier. It was. But it was *still* lightyears better than Wilson's. We would've somehow had negative timeouts at that point with him. We'll get over the hump next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha and LIHoosier 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 We played well against a good team. Not hanging my head here. Everyone, including Vegas knew we'd lose this game.We were however, 16 point favorites in basketball. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners theriverpilot, wirenuts, hsrtxp and 3 others 6 Quote

He was not helped by special teams etc.... With this defense Suds might've won us 10 games. HoosierAloha, Crimson and Cream, CrossboneIU22 and 1 other 4 Quote
Dalton26 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Better than I expected but damn it we should've won that game. Offense and ST hurt us in this one. Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Oh, and Lagow will be our QB next year. No question about it. Just like Crean will be our Coach. And both teams will be decent, but not great. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

323SGrant Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Close game as expected. Their kicker was better and they had an exceptional running back, a la Coleman or Howard. Our backs are serviceable. Didn't see the jumbo back package. Maybe I missed it. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Hoosierfan2017 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Idk if the coaching staff had an arrangement with Zander or anything to keep him from being out there much and getting hurt, but I would've liked to see him play more tonight. I also would've liked to see Camion and Natee get on the field. Oh well, I guess /: Crimson and Cream 1 Quote

colonel06 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 In any event I think we have a great coach in the making. It was refreshing listening to him discuss the game with Fisch rather than listen to canned cadence responses. Coach A. said "these close games stink and that's what we're going to work on."Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
KingPG21 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 So how much different was the offense run with Allen. I know it has come out that he wants to run the ball more and be more reliant on that. But given our roster that would only be so doable, and given they only had a month to get ready. Or was it essentially what we've seen all year. Quote

Didn't people say he had issues grasping the play book or something like that? Lagow has a lot of the physical tools, but it sounds like if that is why people are high on King it'd be a lot of what we just saw this past year.... kind of Quote
