  1. How do you think that will further impact the relationships between Indiana aau coaches and Crean? I say if you offer a kid a scholly and he accepts it, you sleep in the bed you made, IMHO.

So its sounding like the Pacers and Vogel are going to part ways. Which is incredibly stupid. I swear if Bird signs his best bud McHale I'm gonna be super pissed, just another sign that Bird needs to get out of the front office.

Bird should be gone long before Vogel. I, like you, will be infuriated if that happens. Bird should take a long look in the mirror and at the roster HE constructed instead of blaming Frank. Sent from my LG-D850 using BtownBanners mobile app

  12. Here are the facts. UNC deserves the death penalty. For an institution of higher education to violate the very essence of its existence in an effort to claim athletic glory, they have lost their way. They have no business being able to compete in athletics whatsoever. UNC's own internal investigator had them at 17+ years of academic fraud. Imagine if it had been an independent investigator. With everything I just stated above, UNC was not only allowed to continue to compete, they nearly won the NCAA tournament this year. It is criminal that UNC gets treated with kid gloves while smaller programs get HAMMERED. NCAA - Nobody Cares About Academics

Yeah I've felt this way about Bird for two years now. He's been way more miss than hit in free agency, he hit on West and....... uh. The risks he has taken in free agency, Lawson and Bynum, never really panned out. Trades he has been more miss than hit, Hill-Leonard being the obvious example, though this one is a bit over blown. The only trade he really "won" was the Ian one. In his defense he has been more hit than miss in the draft, but he has had a bad dud or two, Hansbrough over both Holiday and Lawson. We signed Pritchard to take over eventually, or at least that was the narrative at the time. I guess I want to see what he can do if anything.

Great pickup for them from a team chemistry standpoint. He will also help on the court, though he doesn't address their primary deficiencies; athleticism and defensive presence. Still, for a team with a bunch of open schollys that very well could also be losing Swanigan, it's a very good addition.

And then you have the last play of the OKC-SA game. Full street ball or nah? Why have refs when their nads are so far up there they can't make a correct call? When in doubt "miss" about 10 calls on the final play so it shows your incompetence. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Honestly there's no one besides Ben and Brandon that impress me. A lot of role players which is okay yes, but not worth trading a pick for. Of course Thon Maker, Gary Payton II, Dunn will be interesting prospects May 17th couldn't come any sooner.

  25. Well IMO there are a few players/prospects on IU's roster that aren't anywhere near the level of even being the 13th man at IU or even at a mid major program. None of these guys are going to scare off or play over a talent like Scruggs. Jaylen Fisher is a good talent that would be a good backup early on that would develop into a starter as an upperclassman. Devonte Green is IMO a good depth prospect that can handle the ball and shoot but nothing more than a role player early on who could develop into a good backup PG. From the people I've talked to say Gelon just isn't at the level to play at IU and he's never going to play as a 1 or a 2. If he makes at IU he's going to be a shooter off the bench at the 3. IU is going to play small and fast with a ton a shooters and scorers for quite some time and some of these 3s are going to see time at the 4 to allow guys like JBJ, RoJo and CuJo to see as much playing time as possible.

We talked about that song. Dan Donegan (sitting with his gorgeous wife) said his young son told him the song was terrible when he first heard their cover of it. Said it sounded like a heavy metal band trying to sing a country song. We all laughed. I agreed, it seems like a random pairing, and asked them why they chose it. They said they knew they wanted to do another cover song and talked it over as a group. They all agreed they wanted to do a song from that era of music so they just played a bunch in jam sessions to see what one worked. Also in the room was a group out of California called Stitched Up Heart. A couple of really sexy girls are in that one

I saw Disturbed during Mayhemfest a few years back. When they were co-headlining w/Godsmack. They were pretty good but they didn't knock my socks off like I thought they would. Godsmack on the other hand, they freaking killed it. Talk about a great show! But...I was tooling around on Amazon Prime and came across this Simon and Garfunkel cover. It's one the best covers of any song I've ever heard. Ever.

  35. Let me get this straight... Indiana gets damn near the death penalty in college sports because of an idiot coach who made too many recruiting phone calls. Meanwhile, in "Tar Heel Country," 20 years of academic fraud by student athletes and institutional cover-ups by the powers-that-be, do not warrant a blanket sanction? You mean to tell me that women's basketball and men's soccer are going to be the scapegoats here?!? Men's Basketball and Football, the REAL money-makers for UNC, had nothing to do with the blatant cheating going on?!?! This confirms that this is a completely bogus system. The NCAA is a corrupt organization where cash rules. If you didn't know before, you do now. What a crock of ****.
