LIHoosier Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 If Allen shows up to B1G Media Day next summer and says "We were 3-4 plays from being 8-4", he should be fired on the spot; assuming Cool Dad finds his balls or heaven allow we have a new AD. jmsgws, MemphisHoosier and Iugradman 3 Quote
JSHoosier Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 If this happens the new person had better be able to coach tackling. And for the love of all that is good keep Glass out of the process. Iugradman 1 Quote
Kepner Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 This needs to happen along with a new OC. Too many weapons on this team that are underutilized Alford Bailey 1 Quote
HoosierTrav Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 This was a monumentally bad hire by Fred Glass. We will be stuck with Allen for years to come. We are such a joke of a football program. RaceToTheTop, Chris007 and Iugradman 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 He'll be our coach for at least one more season but I truly believe that with another missed bowl opportunity we'll have a new coach for the '20 season. mdn82 and 8bucks 2 Quote

I wouldn’t be against moving him back to DC. Miss the Kevin Wilson offense, tbh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierTrav and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

Hoosier116 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Kingsbury. Name the price and bring him in to run offense. It’s time Fred gets serious about football Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Iugradman 1 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 How about Allen keeps DC position and hands over head coach duties? HoosierFan1994 and RealIU 2 Quote
JSHoosier Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 I wouldn't be opposed to Kingsbury, but let's be serious that's not going to happen. I'll be absolutely floored if we don't go into next season with DeBord calling the shots. Kepner 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners He's gonna go from being a head coach of a fair-to-middling Power 5 program to being the OC at the worst Power 5 program in the country? HoosierFan1994 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Title should read Glass thinking of turning over head coaching duties to someone else. Quote

What other Big Ten schools does the AD miss on two football hires and keeps his job? Tom Allen never even made it to state as a high school football coach. He is Tom Crean 2.0. He could be a decent coordinator but NOT a head coach. IU football will be 3-9 in football really soon. PJ Fleck, Jeff Brohm, Luke Fickell, Justin Wilcox, Matt Rhule, Major Applewhite, and Charlie Strong were all there in 2016. All are WAY better than clappy Tom. Iugradman 1 Quote
