I'd give Cameron a shot.

The little we've seen he seemed to be a better passer than Diamont, that's the only reason I'd use him.  Diamont is competitive but the offense is severely limited with him.  At this point I can't justify sticking with Lagow though.

EDIT:  Then again Lagow is limiting the offense because too many times he'd miss the side of a barn.

Leggo overthrows at an excessive rate. It's frustrating. Otherwise great game by the Hoosiers. Could of been..............

I posted how often he missed receivers, whom were visibly frustrated, when I saw him  in spring practice.  Had hoped he would be in sync by now but it looks as though his lack of consistency will remain an issue all year.  We would be a one loss team with Suds but........

I don't even follow football that much.. but i can tell you Zander should be playing instead of this Lagow kid.

No. Diamont can't throw the ball, we'd be at risk of losing to Rutgers and Purdue is Diamont is starting. Let alone teams that have actual talent

I don't get the infatuation some have with him, we have to make a change though.  Diamont limits the offense because he can't throw, Lagow limits the offense because he pretty regularly misses open receivers and seems to have some issues with grasping the playbook.

I posted the following after last week's game against OSU:

We're 5 games into the season; Lagow is not the answer at QB and I'm not sure we have an answer on the squad.   Yes, he had 2 TD's, but that's not the sole measure of a successful QB and IMO his overall level of play just doesn't cut it in the B1G.  And FWIW, I'm not all that hyped on our play calling.

I reiterate - Lagow is not the answer and I'm not sure we have an answer on the squad.

I'd be cool with seeing if Cameron can do something....... But the people calling for Diamont are insane..... the guy can't throw the ball like at all.

This QB situation is difficult. Lagow's accuracy has become a legitimate problem. We can't afford all these missed opportunities. However, Lagow's arm is the reason these receivers are so open on these intermediate crossing routes. If Zander or Cameron is in the game, we can't call these deeper routes because they can't deliver the ball. The field gets shorter, the and defense crowds the box. We are already beat up on the offensive line, how do you think that will go?

It's just so frustrating: you'll see Lagow throw a beautiful dart downfield to Jones or Paige and you're sure he's the guy. Then he misses the most routine of throws that we need to keep a drive alive. It's no coincidence our third down conversion rate is so low.

I don't know what needs to happen. The fact that before the season CKW said he didn't want to shuffle QBs, but has started bringing in Zander shows a loss of confidence in Lagow

Do we give Zander a chance as the starter? Maybe his arm strength has improved enough to open up the playbook.

It will be really interesting to hear what CKW has to say about the QB situation.

The answer probably isn't on our roster but we have to try something different if we want to salvage the season and go bowling. I'm not big on blaming one guy for a loss, but I feel that blaming Lagow for both today's loss and the Wake Forest loss is reasonable. We can't afford to lose games where our defense plays as well as it did today. Zander would severely limit our offense but honestly right now the offense is really limited by Lagow's inability to throw the ball to the right team. Wilson runs the same plays over and over again because he can't trust him with much else.

Cameron looked a little better than Lagow in the spring, but that isn't really the best thing I guess. Idk. We're in a pretty bad spot right now. I'm in the "give Austin King a shot" camp, but he didn't ever really grasp the playbook so that won't happen. The kid can undeniably spin it though.

We're the same people you were calling insane when we called for Lagow to be benched weeks ago.

Your definition of insanity is funny.

Diamont moved the ball today and...gasp...had some good throws too.

Never called people insane weeks ago, don't put words in my mouth to form some argument.

Neat. Seen two years of Diamont, dude can't throw the ball. Everyone in this fan base seems to realize how much he limits the offense on the field besides you, weird.

Really sick of being close.   That we didn't have a QB ready to replace Sudfeld is ridiculous.   Zander is not the answer.   Not even close.  He is a one trick pony and his trick is easily prepared for....heck, it didn't even work 5 times today.  This team is very good.   We're without a QB and we have lots of injuries to key people.   (Linemen and Cobbs, mostly)    The TV guys were all over the people Nebraska didn't have, and I wanted to ask him if he'd heard about IU's injury problems.

I really only recall two throws by Diamont, both of which were literal more than lateral throws.  I wouldn't use that as much of a measure.

Ok...I guess I forget the exact slur you used to belittle people who wanted Lagow benched.  Forgiveness please.  The people who wanted Lagow to keep playing are insane.  Fair enough?

I didn't use any. Go back and look at my comments, if anything I never took a stand or said much on the matter. Pretty sure you're either confusing me with someone else, or super imposing comments I've made about the hatred Luck gets and applied it to Lagow/Diamont, chances are its the later. Again don't put words in my mouth to try and make an argument.
