Underrated aspect of Deboer's hiring:

The strength staff in place at Bama is Ballou's staff that Deboer worked with here in 2019. I think there's 3 guys still there (Ballou, Constantine, Danison, who was a late add after going to MSU) that left from here. About as elite of a S&C staff as you can have in place assuming he keeps them, and I can't fathom why he wouldn't.

Easy to root for DeBoer at UW -- at least for me. It's a program that was once was on the precipice of college football bluebloodship that had sorta fallen on hard times. He helped get it turned around. And IMO, there's no real reason to dislike the Huskies.

Plus, there was Penix. Always liked Mike.

But at 'Bama? That'll be a hard sell for me. LOL!

If DeBoer does a 2019 redux and the K and K attack is back, I might root for them. Kane is making 800K as S Alabama head coach. Bama can double that for a DC and Kane can make an easier climb to a power conference HC job taking that route.

So you are saying Wommack to Washington?

Whether or not he’d get it, I’m not sure, but I do bet Kane was hoping Lane would head to Bama.

Hell of a call. Chris Low reporting that this is being finalized.

Bama isn’t going anywhere.

There may not be a better of example of catching lightning in a bottle in all of sports than CTA having those guys at Indiana. It’s gonna sound more ridiculous with each passing year.

Deboer, Wommack and pretty much the entire sport performance/strength team of  Rhea, Ballou, Constantine, Danison...all at Bama. Wonder if Inge will follow Deboer to Bama as well, he was our Special Teams Coordinator in 2019 and was a name floated as DC for Bama.

That 2019 staff was Elite.

Rhea moved on to the Saints at some point fwiw, but Sheridan is coming along as the TE coach so still 6 staffers from the ‘19 team for now.
