Regarding IU football, has it crossed anyone’s mind that the world may be coming to an end?

Regarding IU coach….at a certain point grass is not always greener elsewhere….it’s a risk and what kind of reward do you get….especially when you fixed it at IU and it is never going to break until you are finished with a pretty healthy legacy to be left behind in its own right.  Why jump into a pressure cooker when life is happy land and it’s not like you are living in poverty monetarily and non monetarily.

We always talk about in basketball big names not leaving for the blue bloods  (UK hiring Pope) I think that’s the case for Cignetti. He’ll have a statue, streets named after him and parade if he retired today. He could ride an 8 win floor at IU and never worry about job security

He thinks differently though. He wants to win it all. After that he wants to win another. He’s that guy. Never settle, always plan and play hard and be content with results. One in a million type person. That being said, he’s staying.

100% agree he thinks differently which is why I don’t feel money will motivate him to leave

PSU decommitment announcements are already hitting the internet.

Seen this already:

4 top recruits (4 and 5 star) have recommitted already…

Decommitted October 12 (today):
Kemon Spell: A five-star running back and the top player in Pennsylvania for the 2027 class.
Layton Von Brandt: A five-star offensive tackle from Delaware.
Gabe Jenkins: A four-star linebacker.

Decommitted October 11 (yesterday):
Khalil Taylor: A four-star wide receiver from Pine-Richland in Pennsylvania.

Because of his connections to Pennsylvania, Penn State is the one job I worry about. It checks all the boxes in terms of talent and commitment to winning. I don't think Cig will leave but I would not be surprised if he listened to the pitch. PSU has probably already contacted Cig's agent. He would be the perfect guy to fix their problems.

Yea.  Kinda funny that as a WVU and Pitt guy… word is he doesn’t like PSU much, which would make sense.

Though of course that doesn’t stop someone from taking a job.  I feel pretty good he stays and keeps doing what he is doing here — it’s good pretty well!

Cig to PSU really sounds a lot like Stevens to IU.  Sounds more like a fairytale than reality.
