Hardwood83 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Not sure the best place to put this, but thought it was interesting: Nebraska paying $20million in NIL This is directly from the AD, so not conjecture. It's not entirely clear if this is only football or all sports. It says "atheletes" a few times, so I think it's all sports, but gotta think the vast majority it football. Quote

That’s the NCAA flexing their enforcement muscles, eh. It’s truly laughable! LOL. :))) Quote
Lebowski Posted June 27 Posted June 27 UCLA is quietly building a solid recruiting class. They also brought in Nico Iamaleava. We lost Jamier Johnson to them as well. I won't be surprised to see them make some noise this season especially with Coach Sunseri calling the plays. They have a favorable schedule. PSU and OSU are probably their toughest games they have this year. They come to Bloomington Oct. 25 and I see that as a potential huge game for both schools. I was wondering if they took the inspiration from that post. LOL Lebowski 1 Quote

An underrated part of it that shows just how poorly we were thought of going into last season? "Before the game against UCLA on September 14th, the Hoosiers have two home games. Indiana should be favored to win both games as they host Florida International on August 31st and Western Illinois on September 6th." Yes ... "should be" favored against FIU and WIU. Should have taken the Hoosiers against the spread in every damn game last year. Quote

Should have taken the Hoosiers against the spread in every damn game last year. 9-4 against the spread (oddly enough one of our ATS losses was FIU) and led the country in both ATS +/- and margin of victory over the spread. There was good moolah to be made on IUFB last year. Stuhoo and Lebowski 2 Quote

He did kick someone's @$$ that game, in that stadium. I was there. It was awesome. That game was when I knew we had something special brewing in Bloomington. I'm looking forward to this season. We're about to make a solid point to all the doubters. Hide and watch. Hardwood83, jermhoosierfan and OGIUAndy 3 Quote

It’s insane how angry people get about IUFB. Yeah, man, it's a bit comical for me. If this year goes like it should I don't think we'll see much of the media bashing anymore. On a different note, I think having 4 non-con games is the reason for 60% of the list being from one conference. Who knows. Stuhoo 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I came across something interesting. New Purdump football head coach Barry Odom looks, sounds, and explains his approach remarkably like an illustrious 'personality' from Indiana sports lore. I can show you. One of these photos is of Coach Oh-dumb. One of these images is our mystery doppelganger (or maybe the same person)!! TheWatShot Posted July 21 Posted July 21 I've never understood the purpose in having a tough non-conference football schedule. I'd like to have at least one game outside of the Big Ten that's a compelling opponent and will draw viewers, but from all other angles? Pointless. go iu bb 1 Quote
