Perhaps there was some tension with that and he took a step down so his sons career wouldn’t be impacted

From what I can gather from PSU message boards, maybe the fit wasn't great. Tom did well, but he did not mesh with James Franklin. On the other hand, his attitude and religious beliefs seem like a perfect fit with Dabo.

This is a bit of a wrench in the rev share.  Schools were planning to send around 75% of the $22M/yr rev share to FB, which is consistent with the settlement to former athletes.

I would guess schools figure out some way to get FB most of the rev share — just has to work that way in the end when FB is the sport generating most of the revenue to begin with.

The Big Ten is expected to come out strongly in support of Wisconsin, per sources. The Big Ten believes that Miami’s actions are “inconsistent with all the work toward a new framework being done by the A4 leagues, including the ACC,” per a source.

Good.  Time to enforce contracts.  Players are getting paid big money, which is great; but now they need to act like pros.

It will be nice with the House Settlement is finalized and a lot of this uncertainty ends.

For sure. Depth, competition, that’s the stuff. But I don’t think it’s just stars, it’s positional. The difference between a 4* Wr and a 3* WR is on balance smaller than a 4* DT vs. a 3* DT because there are just more small guys than big guys. I would love to see IU become OL/DL U because the cream are just schools kicking everybody’s a$$ up front. The 2 games we lost the OL got whupped. Oh, and QB U would be cool too.

Rooting for OSU because they expect to be here and it’s the status quo. ND winning unleashes that “fanbase” and its “fans”. No thanks.

Could just be me, but it hasn’t felt like there’s been much buzz for the championship. I kept forgetting that it was on tonight. It’s been almost two months since the regular season ended, and we’re now deep into the NFL playoffs.
