For the 1st time in years I'm ok with either team winning the title. Obviously I'd prefer Penix and DeBoer but I have never really hated UM. I lived there for a short stint and their fanbase was really quite humble and not at all irritating to me.

BREAKING NEWS: Penix transfers to Michigan and McCarthy to Washington ahead of the title game.

(OK, I'm nitpicking -- but kind of a weird way for the B1G Network to construct this graphic ...)

May be an image of 2 people, people playing football and text that says 'B1G NATONAL CHAMPIONSHIP #1 MICHIGAN VS #2 WASHINGTON JANUARY 7:30 PMET NRG STADIUM B1G NETWORK'

BTW, don't know if this got pointed out ...

In its past two games -- B1G title game and Citrus Bowl -- Iowa was outscored 81-0.

How can a Power 5 college program, ranked in the Top 20 no less, go 120 minutes without scoring!

If the AD hadn't stepped in and done the deed, Ferentz probably still wouldn't have fired his son as OC.

Trick play and high reward high risk play calling series almost cost Washington the game…worse play calling than IU coaching staff ever due to significance of game and a solid lead at the time.

Penix should have won heisman.  Congratulations to him.

Washington offensive line is really really really good.

Washington is a great definition of a solid team at every position.

Coach DeBoer greatness…more under control after win than some coaches are when their team makes a first down.

DeBoer and Penix is IU foot print on the National Collegiate Football Championship…the closest thing to a National Collegiate Football Championship that IU football program has ever had.

That was a terrible showing by Iowa yesterday.  The B1G should have sent somebody else and Iowa should have been ruled bowl ineligible.

Your Seminoles just lost by 60 to the team Alabama beat to make it to the playoff.

Its weird reading all the SEC takes. Like its annoying, but you have a choice dudes. Just watch the games. You don't have to listen to the national media and their takes.

Its funny to me to see people still running with the "FSU earned it!" takes. They got curb stomped. They play in an utter trashfire of a conference that is the ACC. They were never gonna compete w/o Travis

I don’t care if FSU lined up with their cheerleaders, 60 points is an ***kicking of the highest order. You can’t whine for weeks about being left out of the playoff and then have the worst loss in program history.

But it isn't indicative of what FSU did during the season or what they would have done against Washington or Michigan. It just went to show that FSUs practice squad wasn't good. It's like saying you beat this years Purdue team by 40 but Edey, Smith, Loyer and Jones sat the game out.its meaningless. The result of that game was meaningless. It didn't show anyone anything other than that Georgia could beat really bad teams.

ESPN's Wilbon was giving the Noles hell today.

Prisoners should be forced to watch Iowa football as punishment. Although that might be cruel & unusual. Not gonna change while Ferentz is there though.

Don't operate heavy machinery while watching Iowa football.

Who needs Nyquil when you can watch an Iowa 'drive' and pass out instantly.
