Media will push the narrative like they always do. And of course they have nothing but easy road games. And thankfully they won’t have to play a neutral site game at the end of the year this year against a Clemson level opponent

ND"s SoS has been top 25 the last 5 years....

sure they get thumped by elite, most do, but that's a hater's narrative.

They get destroyed every time come bowl season. This statistic doesn’t even include the beat down Alabama put on them this past January, nor does it include the destruction Clemson laid on them in the ACC title game. They’re not a bad program by any means, but they’re not elite either. It’s past time for them to stop getting put in marque bowls they don’t deserve based on high preseason rankings and trash schedules.

And? Outside of very few teams, who has not got destroyed by Bama?

Bama beat OSU by 28, after beating ND by 17.

They’re 0-9 in their last 9 NY6 bowl games with an average margin of defeat of 20.3 ppg. How many other programs can you say that about? Every go no around it’s all “oh Notre Dame is different this year, this is the year they’re legit, blah blah blah,” people start hyping them up, and then they get embarrassed. If they want respect they should join a real conference where they don’t get to pick and choose their schedule every year.

Meh.. ND isn't a football factory. They'll never be able to recruit like Bama/Clemson/OSU/UGA/LSU when it comes to 5 star kids..., They frankly don't care what you care about their IND status. If they reduced their admissions standards, then yes, they'd deserve some flack. But they never will. Lou was able to slide some kids in, and funny enough, that's the last time they won... Frankly, it's pretty impressive what they've done with the limitations they work with.

As long as they have a large fan base and field a decent team, they'll get the TV contracts, and they'll do what they want despite what people think.

Like I said

2020 they got blown out by Bama, who blew out OSU even worse.....

2018 they got blow out Clemson, who blew out Bama

2016 lost to OSU by 16, who blew out UM and PSU worse that year

2012 crushed by a great Bama team

ND did manage to beat LSU twice in bowl games during that period.

The targeting rule is bordering on block/charge (which is a garbage bullspit rule, if you’re new around here). Guy from Ole Miss just got booted because the ballcarrier lowered his head.

I hadn't seen this. It's old news, so apologies if it's posted somewhere else. 

Of course this came out before the embarrassment at Iowa ... but it's still pretty cool. I cannot even begin to think of a time when we sold out a non-conference football game.

Speaking of sold out games, it appears the game at WKU is also sold out. I assume IU was allotted a portion of away tickets. Does anyone know if those are also already gone? I can't find anything on our site about where to buy tickets for any away games. 

Follow up question - if our our away allotment is gone, does anyone know what section the IU crowd is supposed to be concentrated in?

I just looked on stubhub there are several tickets available for the game.

Yeah, I saw that too. I was only wondering if there would be any available through our ticket office before going to any after market sites. But that was also what my follow up question was about...what section will IU fans be concentrated in if I have to go the stubhub route? 

I had also emailed our ticket office and they've already responded saying they don't have any tickets available and to contact the WKU ticket office. So I'm not sure if IU got an allotment that is already sold out of if we didn't get an allotment at all.
