Hoosierfan1901 Posted December 23 Posted December 23 Sounds like Michigan is targeting Brohm to be the next head coach per their 247 insider Quote
Hoosierfan1901 Posted December 23 Posted December 23 Louisville also believe Brohm is going to stay at UL and sign an extension Quote
Hoosier987 Posted December 23 Posted December 23 Brohm is next in man up according to Michigan Insiders. If they don't land Brohm, you really got to question if Michigan is an attractive job at the moment with all the issues going on. Pagoda, skhoosier2 and jermhoosierfan 3 Quote

There is somethign to that, but the timing couldn't be a lot worse for them. Everyone else either moved or extended. Not a lot of high quality candidates. They might be best to roll with Biff for a season and conduct a full search next year. jermhoosierfan and skhoosier2 2 Quote

I don't blame someone for not wanting it right now because of the investigation in the AD office. You don't know if the AD will be changed out (I think he is gone) or if there are more NCAA problems coming. This happened at the wrong time for them which doesn't bother me a bit. skhoosier2 and Pagoda 2 Quote

It's making things messy. Plus they don't have a President either, and it sounds like they may not have that person appointed until mid-2026. That's another key person the new coach won't have clarity on. UM is a good job with a lot of resources, but the uncertainty with the President and/or AD is an issue. Also, there is just something a little off about UM football. I can't really explain, just a sense. Several coaches have struggled there. Hoke and Rich Rod are two that got fired. And Sherrone's on-field performance wasn't good, he was probably gonna get fired for performance after next year or so. So that's three coaches that didn't do well there, that doesn't indicate UM is an easy job. As for Jim, it took him six years to get it going, and once he did, they did win big, but they also got in a lot of trouble that cost UM $30M+. I'm just not sure it's an easy place to win for whatever reason. That said, this is all good with me! jermhoosierfan, rayl456 and skhoosier2 3 Quote

Everything is there for them to be a beast, but they have just struggled for the last 20 outside of the last few years of Harbaugh's time which was so bad that he ran out of town for the Chargers. I bet they keep Biff for a year and see how he does which would dictate whether to keep him or start a search. Pagoda 1 Quote

Josh Posted December 24 Posted December 24 I know people here talk about how Bowl games are uninspiring, but I can watch a random Bowl game the way @Uspshoosier can watch a Directional Conference preseason game in August. UNLV vs Ohio has so many story lines right now I love it Uspshoosier 1 Quote
