Popular Post IUrocker Posted October 26, 2017 Popular Post Posted October 26, 2017 True story: On Saturday before HH around 2:00 or so, some family members and I were walking down Walnut street heading to Brothers to get some drinks before the event. I happened to look at some people getting out of their vehicle parked in a spot on the street, and it just happened to be Darius and his family. I went right up to Darius and said “You’re Darius, right?”, and he smiled and nodded. I shook his hand and said “well thank you for coming and we’re very excited that you’re here.” He smiled and said thank you and then I walked off. I turned to one of my brothers and said “that was Darius Garland! He’s one of the top recruits we are trying to get!” He laughed and was in awe that I noticed him and knew who he was. (He’s not nearly as obsessed with IU b-ball as I am, haha). Anyways, you can thank me for that moment with Darius as the tipping point that made him fall in love with the place, hahaha, just kidding.
