Saw on another site that Kansas had to send an assistant to see Romeo today because he had to deal with the Billy Preston situation

Always assumed Preston would never play due to his insanely sketchy academic history. But, hey, impermissible benefits work just as well.

If Romeo picks Vandy, it'll be the most disappointing IU-Vandy news since Chris Lawson left B-town for Nasvhille in 1991.

This is absolutely the post of the year. , Shut down the voting, close the polls. I can't stop laughing.

Not sure where else to put this, so I'll put it here since it's relevant to Romeo.

I'm watching Darius Garland in the Tournament of Champions on CBS Sports Network and it pains me to say, he's really good.  In the 4th quarter and he's got 35 points against La Lumiere.

But it also occurs to me, there's no way another scorer who wants to be featured in an offense like Romeo Langford would mesh well with Garland.  Darius is so used to being the guy, throwing up tons of shots, I just can't see Romeo wanting to play with him.

It'd be different if Romeo was a 6'9" post player, but they're both back court players.  I just don't see him playing at Vandy with Garland.

I agree with ALL of this. DG is silly good. But he certainly relishes being the dude.

Good point, but coach Cal puts tons of guys who are used to being the man together every year for a chance at a championship run. These kids are also used to sharing the rock with all the summer league and AAU teams and such. If he's only planning on being in school one year anyway, but you may be on to something. I hope you're right.

Coach Cal gives them a chance to compete for a championship every year, and they also have amazing facilities. Vandy... Not so much. He'd get to watch the Darius Garland show for a season while barely making the tournament if he's lucky.

Coach sS said earlier in the week that Kansas is backing off, but they did send an assistant to see Romeo earlier this week. I am thinking it is still Vandy. Something stinks.

SS is a hack. Why would Kansas or any school for that matter back off of a top 5 player when they are in the final 3? You don't and that is why they are continuing to send coaches to see him.

Edit, heard calhouns health may be impacting this one

Honest question. Do we really believe Romeo doesn't have all the info he needs at this point to make a decision?

Unless he picks Kansas and wants to see who goes pro.

Seems like all the info is there for a choice now to me.

He probably does want to see who goes pro. Totally legit
