We have continued to get those 5* over the last 25 years. So while you may be cynical towards the program, your recruiting memory isn’t very good and isn’t appreciated in a specific recruiting thread. The people that put these together bust their @$$ for free while you have continued to trash it. I know they are all about letting people do whatever, but you are irritating a lot of people. It is honestly just rude. I don’t even care about sunshine pumping. I want to read about Romeo Langford and not your daily pessimism.

General point made but he was responding to a specific question from a poster to explain his stance.

If CCG is cool with him doing that in his thread every day fine, but I highly doubt it. It’s not just him either man. I do it too, but damn. I know you guys are against moderating but they put a lot in on the recruiting threads. This shouldn’t be the place to vent after a loss.

I think a lot of the negative talk comes from frustration.  I get that.  I have said a few over the top things on here myself.  We love IU.  Like him or not we were spoiled having IMO the best bball coach ever lead us for a long time.  I know as much as I want us to win, nothing can keep me from watching and being 100% IU.  We just hafta buckle down and find a way to make IU more attractive.  Winning would help obviously.  But until then, gotta come up with something else.  At least to get the 5*'s.  Until then, get the in state kids and work like crazy to win with toughness.   Kids will come.

This is a specific recruit thread. It isn’t about frustration. There are plenty of places for that. These threads are made by people on their own time to inform us what a recruit is doing. It has been that way for the last 6 or 7 years for CCG. He takes these very serious.

Agree, but there isn't much substance this time of year in these threads except stats, visits.

Maybe we need to do Recruit threads like this: Recruit Y: fact based stuff
Recruit Y(bs): for all the other crap.

Lol, I don't know the answer but it's hard to separate the 2 unless we have 2 threads per recruit.

Also, I'm active with moderating when it comes to respecting one other. I send messages whenever people attack and moderate that behavior immediately.

So do I. I try to keep them on topic but it’s an uphill battle lately
An update on Romeo from another site is the he is still in contact with and keeping all 3 teams in the loop as much as the Langford’s keep anyone in the loop. Things are slow while he focuses on the high school season

That is what the general recruiting threads were always for.

I'm certainly not giving up hope. Just feel not nearly as confident as October with him.

Not taking joy in an injured kid, but this affects the Romeo recruitment so:
One of Vandy’s two top ten recruits, Shittu, apparently tore his ACL last night:

Poor kid. Hopefully if he was promised money they already paid up

Wow no way.  Kid probably won't be able to play for Vandy until second semester next season now at the earliest.

That sucks.

Edit: just to add, the injury took place on December 28, not last night.  He underwent the MRI today and it doesn't say he tore an ACL, just apparently hyper-extended his knee on a layup.  Never know with those non-contact knee injuries though I suppose, they're almost always ACLs.

Final: New Albany 85, Jeffersonville 61. Romeo Langford finished with 33 points

I am pretty sure Jeffersonville was undefeated heading into this game, so this is an impressive dominating game for Romeo. Doesn’t NA play at Bankers Life tomorrow too?

Umm.. it's for sure a good win. Maybe even a really good win, but it's not overly surprising. NA matches Jeff's athleticism, and I don't particularly know if Jeff is well coached, while NA most definitely is. Similar styles, but NA does it better as of now... but again it is for sure a good win.
