I’ve been preaching not setting expectations high with Langford. Gotta think the ball rolls towards Vandy now that Garland and Shittu are there. And let’s not forget Kansas. They are in a much better position to compete now. Indiana is the sentimental pick and that’s about it imo.

He can still do both and pick another school. I have laughed at the vandy insiders before but they have been 100%accurate so far and the iu insiders not so much. So if they say Romeo to vandy is a done deal I expect it is. He will not want to be stalked by iu fans,all season long so as I stated before expect his vandy verbal shortly. Hopefully we can find a stud grad transfer in the spring

I agree we are not getting him. I just hope drew doesn't come after more indiana kids in the future. Romeo is gone but we gotta protect the 2019 kids.

Its pretty much like tre jones listing minnesota but going to duke. You keep the home school in it but in reality they aren't really in it. I just honestly never thought we'd lose him to vandy but it's a bad dream now. He may have already given the silent verbal.

Don't get too discouraged.  Darius Garland deserves a lot more credit in this recruitment than Drew does.

How could you not be discouraged. We lost the best in state kid in awhile to vandy. Probably the best since Eric Gordon. It sucks.

I love the potential of our team with Romeo if he were to come. People seem to forget how much difference a go to guy helps a team. A true go to guy. It let's others become more comfortable in roles and makes the whole team better. A senior Morgan, junior De'Ron & sophomore Smith & Moore with Race & Jake is a good to great front court. Romeo would stabilize the back court and RP would thrive with him. Add in Green & Durham as well as Hunter, Jones and Damezi and I truly believe that team could be just as good as the one Vandy could have with those 3 together as they won't have much depth at all. I see the appeal in playing w those guys specially Garland, but people need to stop acting like it's a done deal. Archie is gonna continue to recruit him and make his pitch. Until Romeo says otherwise, I would think any of his top 3 have a good shot.

Garland must honestly be the world's greatest salesman to sway two top ten recruits to vandy of all places. Sign him up for a 500k sales job.

Because our coach hasn’t been on the job 8 months yet. I’m not discouraged at all if we miss out on Langford.

When it comes to the whole recruiting thing in general, I'm not worried about our staffs ability one bit.  We aren't always gonna get the top state of Indiana recruit.  That kid will always get pull from all the top programs.  We will win some and lose some.  Ill gladly take our states 4 stars consistently and sprinkle in the 5 star Indiana kid when it works out that he wants to be a Hoosier.  In the meantime, we go steal another states 5 stars

I should never have fallen for you guys claiming he was coming to iu right after HH. Same with garland. I learned my lesson plain and simple. Don't fall for internet rumors period.

Sorry to have let ya down but I don't recall saying IU had Garland wrapped up. The almost committing after HH a lot of people assumed not just me or anyone else for that matter. I get being excited for a recruit and all but it isn't life or death man. Getting too attached isn't a good idea. I know you keep saying you're not but sounds like you are. Not trying to take a shot at ya just some advice man. Also if you read some of my post on Garland I admitted I was hearing from pro IU guys so take it with a grain of salt. Romeo as any kid is a completely different recruitment. Just let it play out.

I was not singling you out. It just makes it hard to be optimistic after that let down. I'm just going to concentrate on the team now.
