Bailey7878 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Agree, but the Crean situation got complicated when he won the B1G is 15-16. The real mistake was not making the move after the 13-14 season but don't recall what the candidate situation would have been like. Not making an all-out blitz for Stevens at any time is difficult to swallow. However, we shouldn't make mountains out of molehills. We have a very solid foundation for the next several years and can make a big splash with the '19 class to get this thing rolling. He should of been fired two years before he was period. At the time I said that I got mocked. Glass set us back another four years by keeping him already knowing his ceiling. At this point all we do is rebuild.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Iugradman and woodenshoemanHoosierfan 2 Quote
woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I love to read all of these tidbits that people share. It's fun. But in the end, I know no one really knows. That's why I do not get out of sorts if it's not a pro Indiana tidbit or overly excited if it's pro Indiana.Sent from my SM-G930V using BtownBanners mobile app Josh and IUsafety 2 Quote

Bailey7878 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Interesting update from Bossi. He must have heard something this weekend.According to Eric Bossi Vanderbilt head coach Bryce Drew was on hand with an assistant and it seems the Commodores and Kansas are starting to open up some distance between themselves and Langford's other finalist, Indiana. There's always time for things to change and even though Langford says he doesn't feel pressure to stay home, he has to be feeling it some. But, it looks like Archie Miller may have landed the IU job a little too late to keep Langford home.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersIf he does not come to iu it's not because Archie landed to late By signing in the spring that gave us a year to recruit him. Plenty of time. I simply don't believe anchors down is in the lead.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Stuhoo, WayneFleekHoosier, reconmkd and 2 others 5 Quote

Popular Post Uspshoosier Posted December 12, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 12, 2017 I think it is extremely unlikely that IU is a tournament team next year without him. In my opinion they could easily be a tourney team without him next year. Going deep in the tourney might be a different story but honestly it doesn’t take much to be a tourney team anymore. Look at the rosters of the last 4 teams in the tournament the last 5 years. Last year Vandy made it in at 19-15. Bowhunter Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 So what happen to the Bill Self rubbed the Langford family the wrong way on his Kansas visit back in October? I guess another false rumor. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

A good shooter and both the Duke and UofL games could very easily have been a different outcome. DD and JM are playing well down low. A knock down shooter completely changes things. This has been one of the absolute worse shooting teams that I can remember at IU. Another year of getting this defense down will be a huge plus going into next season. By the way, I don't think Bossi has heard anything new, just what he formulates in his noggin. I will and still say, that my homeboy will be wearing candy stripes next year. Formulate that! MoyeNeeded Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 True. Louisville and Kentucky have blown us out of the water over the last 15 years. We have been down so long I don’t know if we ever recover. I don’t blame the coaches. I blame the ADs who hired the coaches and allowed them to run our program into the ground. You know, I thought along those lines too, but have noticed all of the young kids down here really repping the IU gear at the HS games this season.Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app Fkfootball1, Hoosier82, reconmkd and 3 others 6 Quote

Popular Post Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 12, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 12, 2017 IU refuses to be bold and get a big name coach. Even without knowing who will be on the team or which player has made significant jumps they can still make the tourney. I’ve watched South Florida, Bosie St, La Salle, St Mary’s, kanas st(8-10 in big 12), Vandy, Wake,Iowa(lost 6 of their last 7 games) and Tulsa all earn at-large bids to the tourney in the last 6 years. I’m confident that IU would have just as much talent next year then some on those teams that have earned a bid in years past.
