Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 As Halloween is tonight and taking my 4 yr old tricking treating is top priority(means I will have unlimited supply of candy for weeks) I won't be on here much tonight just a heads up. There really isn't anything definite out there. Snow is very much tied into the Langford clan as USPS has said. That being said the longer this drags out means nothing bad for any of the schools specially IU. Gotta remember Romeo will only be here for a year. If he waits it is likely to see what our team looks like. He knows what UNC and KU's will look like for the most part. Vandy could be interesting if Garland goes there, but you guys gotta remember as much as Archie has done he hasn't coached at this level yet. They're doing their due dilligence. They loved us before, during and after the visit. They visited another school and they didn't enjoy it nearly as much. So when it comes time to make a decision they will remember walking across Assembly Hall with 14 thousand fans screaming their name. They're not going to get that anywhere else. Archie has done a remarkable job recruiting these two kids. I say kids because they are kids and kids sometimes change their minds but nothing has changed so far. By now, he knows how he'll fit at Indiana, what the program will generally look like; and what his life would look like in Bloomington. Some may say "then why wait? Commit now!" I think it's more likely he's validating by listening to everyone else. He knows he can get to the NBA from Bloomington, especially with a program losing, what, 5 kids? He'll be on the floor a ton. I also think he wants to be known as a player who helped stabilize this program. He's a southern Indiana kid, after all. Again, my opinion mostly.
