Friday night SB Riley defeated Mishawaka 62-48.  Anderson with 19 pts.

Some highlights of Damezi yesterday. As we've seen before, he can shoot it, with or without his feet set. His last 3 on the video he is nowhere near square with his shoulders but he drains it anyhow. Also demonstrates his pull up and some finishing at the rim.

South Bend Riley 81, Pickerington North 75:  Class 4A third-ranked South Bend Riley won a wild game in overtime, rallying from a six-point deficit in the final minute of regulation.

In a matchup of Indiana recruits Jerome Hunter (Pickerington North) and Damezi Anderson (South Bend Riley), the Wildcats built a nine-point lead in the third quarter just to see it melt away. But Anderson helped Riley rally with two late 3-pointers.

Hunter fouled out in overtime and then was told to leave the floor altogether after questioning the call. The 6-7 Hunter finished with 21 points. Anderson led Riley with 23 points and Shamar Dillard added 20.

#iubb commit @AndersonDamezi had a big game tonight as he led Riley to a 63-59 comeback win over rival SB Adams. Anderson finished with 33 points in the game.

SB Riley defeated Portage 74-62.  Anderson with 19 pts.

#iubb commit @AndersonDamezi had 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in SB Riley’s 72-38 win over Plymouth. Riley is now 9-0 on the season, and ranked 1st in the class 4A AP poll.

This may be an odd request but Damezi reached out to me asking to spread the word about a friend of his. Harrington Greer is a football prospect and has a Hudl video but not much else. Damezi helps me out with a lot so I figured the least I could do is help spread the word of his friend. Even if it just ends up being a view on his video. Thanks in advance and I don't expect much for us to do but if it helps the slightest I'll feel better.

They are indeed, and deservedly so imo. They play well together, it's not just the DA show, but he is unquestionably their leader. 

The behind the scenes ****show this group has went thru the last couple of years would destroy most teams. DA keeps them focused and they keep on trucking. He is the polar opposite of the tissue paper tough leadership our current roster exhibits.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but it bears repeating. DA toyed with the idea of going to LaLumiere Academy for his senior season, but decided he couldn't do that because it wouldn't be fair to his teammates that he had grown up with and the goals they still had.

Toughness can be contagious. Addition by subtraction and a few hard nosed frosh with some leadership could go a long way next season. Great to hear about Anderson.

Did some digging and Webb's record was set in 1973 which to me makes Damezi's performace all the more impressive.

Game went into OT tied at 55 and Riley ends up with a 64-60 win.  Anderson finished with 27 pts. and 8 reb.

Just got home from the game, figured you and the general would be all over it.

Dogfight it was, great game! Marian hit big shot after big shot and Riley played like crap for the most part. Damezi had a horrible shooting night. but this team just does not get rattled. DA hit a 3 to tie it up with 40 seconds to go in regulation. Then had a key block and a rebound tip-in in overtime on successive possessions to put Riley in command for good. Cat is a flat out winner.
