Though, that class joins 1 five star and 1 four star. So great class, still a pretty shallow team.

I know it's a poor consolation, but I would imagine we were his second favorite. Crean gave it a good run, hard to be upset with him here. All will be well tomorrow when Davis joins CuJo and Gelon.

It literally happens to all recruits including IU's. These kids are getting followed by fans of all the teams they are considering, so when they choose a team the fans of the other teams unfollow. This has been happening for years.

I hope he made the pick his heart told him to follow---and I know I am biased---but I still think someday soon a little buyer's remorse creeps in for him as we are making runs for a Big Ten and National Championship this year. I hope someday he doesn't have to look back and wonder what could have been.

 

I am good with it---I only want the players who truly get IU and who truly want to be here.  But--I am such a homer that I think that should be EVERY recruit. Go IU! :yes:

That would be pretty amazing. I'd even say we should make the trip. Let them see what it's like to get spanked on their own home court surrounded by our fans (since we travel well and Miss State fans don't know they have a basketball team).

Just wait until they play Kentucky in Starkville. They'll be playing as visitors in their own building. I'll be tuning into that one.

youre misunderstanding me. what I meant was his total follower count. Of course other fans of teams are going to unfollow him, that's the norm.

I will never begrudge a kid if he chooses his home state school. It also, is a great chance with a known coach who has a great group assembled. I hope the kids of this caliber in Indiana compose likewise.
