Potential fallout from coaching change

Recommended Posts

And if Fisch is the one retiring, then why keep it secret? That would be something announced at the beginning of the season.

This is kind of what I was thinking so that he could get the recognition he deserves. Also if not before the last season atleast before the last home game.

Exactly, like a farewell tour. The man (Fischer) has earned that if so.

Maybe Crean at peace and relaxed will win him a couple tourney games. IU is playing with house money.

This is what everybody said about the Colts against New England (house money), thing is, IU really is

I'm a little concerned. There's just a lot of hate out there for the man. And I think it has more to do with the fact that this is just a culmination of fan frustration from watching the program fall out of the sky since the RMK firing.

It will be fine. Things were similar at the end of the Davis era. The fans gave him love when he came back.

Wow, AJ taking heat and throwing daggers.

@ajguyton: @bribrown013 no idea! people think I want him out or I have and agenda, I have no agenda, nor do I want him out. His performance is on him..

Also, I read the radio quotes and he used past tense and said some fairwell tour type comments.

Go to Jeff Rabjohns twitter page. He has the quotes up.

Didn't Crean and Fischer have a small spat earlier this year? I could see these quotes as Crean's way of publicly apologizing to Don. Could definitely look at it several different ways. He was basically saying how honored he was to spend the last years with Don. Could see it as a goodbye but could also see it as Crean saying I am sorry and I do not take you or this show for granted I appreciate you.

Love A.J. Guyton, but he'd be wise to take a break from Twitter for a while.

you are probably right. I wish I knew the Crean/Guyton relationship. It sounds a lot like the Dakich/Crean relationship. Dakich and AJ say the right things publicly, but they clearly don't like him. Would like to know more about this. And the Calbert Chaney relationship.

I never thought that it could be him apologizing to Don for the spat early in the season but I guess it does make sense.

Agree, would love to know what this "run in" is all about, and if there was anything to the Calbert leaving thing.

You are correct that Fischer/Crean had a little tussle during one of the post game interviews that was uncomfortable to listen to.
