Why hasn't Crean taught Perea how to set a proper screen? When Perea gets within 2-3 feet he gives up on the screen. Has this frustrated anyone else?

A lot of it is on the guards.  I was watching Gonzaga and how well they screen.  Pangos waits until the big is set and brushes shoulders coming around the screen.  It also helps their big is like 4 feet wide.

Just a note on perceptions. There are two active groups on this board, one very supportive of CTC, one very critical. Most of the contention on this board is between these two groups. But I'm speaking the obvious. However, both sides seem to have the perception that they are the persecuted ones. Just pointing that out from the middle.

My thing with him is this: If you know all you have is guards, why not press a little to push tempo against slugish teams like purdue? Play to your strengths. These guys should have been prepared to press some before the season started. Even if devin had played, there would still have been a need to push tempo.

We've never really seen a press with Crean as coach, so I never expected it to happen.  In general I like the idea, but with how awful our defense is just in the half court it wouldn't be a good idea to stretch them.

I hate the fact that when the Pacers actually had a chance at beating the Heat a few years back, Crean spoke with D-Wade and then he went off and that was pretty much the series.

Then he invites bill belicheat to come speak to the team... It's like dude, you are in the state of Indiana. Stop doing this.

Let's assume, or shall I say, "dream", that Tom Crean were to wake up today and have an epiphany, and that epiphany was that he just wasn't suited for coaching basketball, (I know, the rest of us woke up to this realization about three years ago, but bear with me).

What would be a good alternate job position for the ex coach Tom Crean?
