IU vs Louisville Post Game Thread

20 point loss on the board. Was definitely closer than that. Idk. Good game for Hanner. Troy needs some pine time. That was embarrassing. Jimbo is good still. Rob was quiet, but probably had a solid statline, because Rob. Time to watch the last episode of one of my favorite shows ever. Don't take this one too hard, guys.

yep, sadly it was fully expected by all of our realistic fanbase. That's where IU ball is now. After that EW loss at home my expectations are nilch. Won't be getting pissed the rest of this season, I'm done with that fortunately. That loss sunk my hopes and other similar games showed me our potential and our flaws.

Think Holt and hanner needed to be on the floor at the same time might have been able to get a rebound. Think Stanford needs to benched for a couple more games his ball security and shot selection is not where it should be was much better last year. Louisville players stats were high bc none of them ever came out except the final 30 seconds. Big game for Nick needs to get some more playing time

We competed well despite the final score.  Turnovers killed us, obviously.

This is the kind of game I'd hope this team can learn and grow from.  I feel like this group has better chemistry than last season and has no fear.  They just have to execute some things a bit better.  And I'm not talking about blocking out, lol.  Our interior weakness is what it is, but Hanner definitely stepped it up tonight . We are going to lose some battles on the boards, which makes it all the more important to control what we can control such as avoiding unforced turnovers, poor decisions, missed free throws, etc.

Perea hit some shots you don't expect from him, but he still only had 3 rebounds. That can't happen. I feel bad that he's a bit on an island in the interior, but he is not a good rebounder and that's exactly what we need from him. You're not going to win a game like that when your starting 5 has 2 defensive rebounds.

Creans first half subs was a laughingstock at best survived that but the turnovers and rebounding killed us. I for one am not happy we shot the ball better than we will most of the season and got smoked. I feel we have to much to fix to make tourney hope I am wrong but feel better than michigan should lol

Sounds crazy---but there were a lot of positives in a 20 point loss.

We led against the 4th ranked team in the country in the second half.

Perea and Z3 rose to the occasion.

Our guards were solid---but got their first look at what a veteran backcourt can do to us.

We have to keep working on rebounding and taking care of the ball.
