So, I just finish work for the day and figure I'll sit down and watch some hoops.

My on-screen guide, ESPN's schedule and both schools' schedule says BYU-Villanova at 9:30.

Yet it's 9:52 -- and no game. Is it being delayed for some reason?

It’s on TNT.  In between games.  Playing at same place Florida/Zona just played

Games should only take about 2 hours, but these days it’s more like 2:15-2:20 because of all the extra timeouts and replay reviews.

Looking at future opponents, Marquette beat SUNY Albany by 28 and Alabama A&M beat something called Blue Mountain (is that a team from a water bottling plant?) by 20.

Jakai must be hurt ... again     :(

A lesson that almost all already know to be taken from these largely very successful opening nights for former Hoosiers (of note, Kanaan Carlyle was 4-8 from 3pt!):

The coachand coaching staff matters; a ton. If we had given last year's roster to Devries, the results would have likely been incredibly different. If CDD is the guy, worrying about the roster will fade as a concern.

Jalen Haralson - 4 pts, 3 rebs, 0 ast, 4 to … 12 min, 2-7 shots, 0-1 ft

Yikes! Koa Peat he is not lol.

Gonna be kinda nice to root for an IU team that is, in a word; old.

Floored that UF has this big, old front line and Peat just pushed them around the whole 1st half. Hell of a half by that kid.

Arizona better enjoy Koa Peat this season because he’s a lotto pick and then some.

I’m trying to think of a better freshman debut performance and can’t think of one off the top of my head.

I’d guess you’re right Stuhoo on him being one and done. With that said he’s listed at 6’8” 235. He’s very skilled and fluid with a ton of strength. But I could see a scenario where his measurables send him back for another (highly paid) season. Not a lot of 6’8” guys in the NBA get their buckets the way he did last night. Not anymore anyways.

If Colin Murray-Boyles can be the #9 pick at 6'8", then Koa Peat can be that or better.
