And people said Duke wouldn't be able to recruit after K retired yeah that sentiment didn't age well. 

People underestimate Duke and their Nike affiliation with basketball. So long as Nike views Duke as it’s golden child they will get what they want. At least we seem to be 2a with Adidas but Adidas is a poor cousin to Nike in the basketball space. It’s a shame how strongly intertwined it is.

Yeah, that’s a pretty fair tip off. Kind of a weird class they have. A bunch of wings and no PG.  I guess they think Foster’s a multi-year kid.

All right hoops junkies tomorrow is the day we have been waiting on, Christmas Day.   For you old timers you know the drill.   This thread will be active from tomorrow up until April.   There will always be someone in here talking and watching college basketball.  One of the reason this site separates itself from the other IU sites is because this community loves talking and watching ball even if IU isn’t involved.   For you new posters feel free to stop in and hangout, that goes for the lurkers as well.  Can’t wait to post some funny GIFs, say college basketball is delivering and arguing about the NET.   All of you that’s been here know my love for college basketball and following and posting in this thread has became a part of my routine.    With that said we get this started tomorrow at 11 am

I have a big Kentucky fan friend at work... I told him that 2015 was the "championship" for which school Nike would prioritize. Both Kentucky and Duke were led by big time freshmen that year but... Kentucky lost, Duke won. And since then, it definitely seems like Duke has had an edge in recruiting. Especially on guys like Zion, Tatum and now Flagg. Almost like Nike was like well they won with the freshmen we got them, you didn't, so we go with them. That's just my conspiracy.

If that’s the same Spaldng that plays in the St Louis City Conference with schools like Webster and Fontbonne, that would be a fairly horrifying loss for IUPUI. Hopefully they’re blowing them out by now.
