Jesus. Are they playing in the same weather Buffalo/New England played in last night? Quote

croneleoni Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Going to be watching the Cuse tonight closely. Cuse only being 8 point dogs seems interesting for a team that "stinks'". Hopefully they pull the upset against Nova.Sent from my SM-G981U using BtownBanners mobile appJust bumping up my previous take since it's halftime of Cuse and Nova.Sent from my SM-G981U using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Butler up 1 at Oklahoma with 2:17 to go Cuse up 3 at half Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Lol college basketball man. Oklahoma drains a 3 to tie it up with 1.8 to go. Butler didn’t foul Quote

Uspshoosier Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Harris with a big 3. Butler up 1 with 25 sec to go Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Butler up 3 with 12 sec to go just like at the end of regulation but Jordan calls timeout this time after the make. Let’s see if he chooses to foul this time Quote
Uspshoosier Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 They tried to foul but Oklahoma missed the shot. Nice road win for butler Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBannersCrazy how Cuse couldn’t run a simple high ball screen with their shooter/big to get wide open threes, straight line drives, or a big rolling to the rim. Armaan Franklin has been a very low efficiency/high volume offensive player this year. Transferring from Archie to an "Archie-like" offense has done him no favors whatsoever: STATS 2021-22 GP MIN FG% 3P% FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 10 29.0 39.3 20.4 81.8 2.2 1.5 0.3 1.3 2.0 1.1 11.3 It's not just shooting %, though his % is not good at all. That 3pt % is on 5.4 three point attempts per game. For example, Parker Stewart, who seems to be a volume three point shooter at IU, has 10 less three point attempts. And ten more makes! 2.2 rebounds per game in 29 mpg while playing the three spot is pretty bad too -- that's about half as many per game as last year. Class of '66 Old Fart and 8bucks 2 Quote

Still question why he went to such a slow offensive system. He could have been really good under Woody. Could have flourished under any coach that played more uptempo and got him out into space and going downhill a lot. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Saw that Loyola and DePaul had renewed their Chicago rivalry the other day -- and I've noticed Loyola on TV a time or two -- so I got curious as to how our old friend Damezi Anderson was doing. He hasn't played at all this year. Not a single minute. Haven't seen anything about an injury, and he's still listed on the roster, so it's not like he quit or transferred again. They've had some major blowouts in which you'd expect most on the roster to get some garbage time -- but not a second for Damezi. Amazing how far he has fallen. He was rated in the top 100 as a senior and the No. 2 senior in Indiana behind Romeo. Obviously, he was overrated, but he did seem to have a little bit of game. But when he came to IU, he'd go in and just freeze up. He'd be wide-open from the wing or the top for a 3-pointer and either not hit a thing or nearly break the backboard with a horribly errant shot. Archie always said he was a hard worker and if I recall correctly, said he was the strongest player on the team. Still can't figure out what happened to him. Feel bad, because he seemed like a really nice kid. Never expected him to be a star, but thought he could give us 10-15 minutes a game off the bench. Quote
