Minnesota has predictably turned back into Minnesota and are missing layups. Of course, on the other end Braden Smith got blocked by the bottom of the rim. High quality basketball here.

Going to be a pretty obvious hook and hold on Minnesota's Jack Wilson there.  Never understand guys who block out and then don't even go up for the ball.

Edey could have gotten hurt there.

That guy is giving Edey a little taste of his own medicine. I don’t feel bad for him one bit.  Edey slams into the guy blocking out half the time and pushes him under the basket. He can’t do it to this guy. Definitely a foul on the play in question, tho

The Minnesota player is Jack Wilson -- transfer from Washington State.  Was on a football scholarship at Washington State and was mostly an offensive lineman on special teams.  6'11", 290 and cut.  Can't really play basketball at this level, though.  Just kind of a guy to go in an bang against big players....had only played in six games for Minnesota this year.

Purdue is hard to beat when they don’t receive help with 50/50 calls however Purdue is almost unbeatable when they get every 50/50 call and Edey is allowed over 5 fouls.   Minny fought hard but couldn’t overcome some calls that went against them.

Purdue is a pleasure to watch unlike us.  Painter really is the best coach in the conference now.  Gets Indiana kids and develops the talent.  Can lose his best players and doesn’t lose a beat.  Kind of sad that I am writing this.

B1G stinks  besides 3 teams.  Awful year for this league.    By far my least favorite B1G and it has nothing to do with IU sucking the whole league sucks and is my least favorite power 5 league to watch this year

I’m finding it more and more difficult to watch a random B10 game. Stylistically, it’s just not that enjoyable. A down year is not doing the league any favors. Maybe the mega Big45EC conference will be a little less painful to watch.

I've paid less attention to Big Ten basketball this year than any year I can remember. There's just nothing interesting or compelling about it at all.

This popped up on my Facebook page today. Didn't seek it out; it just appeared. 

I guess the highlighted name means McDermott is this fan group's choice. Just for the heck of it, I read through some of the comments (no -- not all 700-plus) and I didn't see one mentioning Dusty. Wonder if that's because they think his heart is set on IU, or they don't think he has the coaching chops to succeed in Columbus?

If UCLA and Oregon could get things going again it would help. But Washington and USC are routinely bad. That was a football/tv play only.

Either way itll make the league worse. More losses. The bottom will get WAY worse. The middle will eat each other. You're looking at getting a max of 10 teams of 18 into the tourney. That's freaking terrible. Just waters things down. But it's all about money and TV deals. It'll make football worse as well.
