Uspshoosier Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Northern Kentucky is quietly having a good year. Up 5 at Oakland with 2:30 to go Quote
Banksyrules Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 Kind of wonder how many of you are actually upset or secretly wish he landed that punch. Wisconsin is dirty as hell and personally I’m shocked it hasn’t happened earlier. Juwan Howard is big trouble and as a coach your supposed to keep your cool, but let’s not act like the conference officials and refs didn’t have any built up to lead to this mess. I have wanted to do that to my TV for the last decade playing them.... Sent from my SM-F926U1 using BtownBanners mobile app Feel the same. I can’t get too worked up over a slap against Wisconsin. Those douches are the annoying guy in pickup who plays overly physical and when called on it goes “what…I’m just D-ing up bro.” He’ll get suspended and he should. It’s a dumb move and they’re lucky it didn’t spill over into the players. But he did what everyone has wanted to do and the fact that it was one of their former try-hard players on the receiving end makes it even better. Also Howard seems like it an idiot. So if he’s fired, who cares? I’m marking this down as a true win-win for Hoosier fans. theriverpilot and HoosierInParadise 2 Quote

Doesn’t matter how dirty Wisky is or isn’t this comes down to a supposedly lead of young men who has shown a history of becoming a sore loser when things don’t go his way and then falls back on I’m from the south side of Chicago so I had to defend myself against Mark Turgeon and Greg Gard. This is simple he acted like a clown because things didn’t go his way and he asked his starters to press a bunch of walk ons and then got mad because the other coach decided to coach his team since Howard was clearly not done coaching his team. Bad look for Howard but nothing new he looked horrible last year when he put himself in the same position. HoosierHoops1, theriverpilot, MikeRoberts and 5 others 6 2 Quote

I’m a competitive person and have wanted to punch opposing players, coaches and fans a million times but you just can’t. And you certainly can’t when you are the head coach. it’s one thing for the players to get into it in the heat of the moment, absolutely ridiculous for coaches after the game is already over WayneFleekHoosier, Class of '66 Old Fart, Uspshoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

Might have helped their tourney hopes like when they had to postpone games against the top of the conference because they didn't have 7 players available. Stuhoo Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 It’s weird. To me he comes across as such a likable, genteel guy. But a coach throwing a punch and starting a brawl is beyond defendable. Im guessing five games and double secret probation. Kinda a Bob Knight one more strike and you’re out treatment, but with a guy that doesn’t seem to have a hot fuse normally. lillurk 1 Quote

A staff member ”striking” anyone on the court should be zero tolerance. He realistically should be done. Can’t happen, especially at the collegiate level or below. Players are another thing. Diabate threw 3 haymakers. Players should be 5 games minimum and up to a career depending on severity, but some degree of leniency is allowable. Diabate’s actions would be borderline e remainder of season if I was in charge. 1 other Michigan player and 1 Wisconsin player threw punches too that I could tell. Ever since I started watching him coach he just came off as very fake in his his approach. He definitely wants his image to come off as likable and maybe at first I fell for it but his actions early on kind of showed you where this was headed with him coaching. Maybe if I didn’t watch almost all the games he coached I might of fell for his act but you pick up on little things here and there that show you his true colors. Just a clown in my opinion and I hope he is gone for the year and I wouldn’t be hurt if he never coached again but that won’t happen. MikeRoberts, IUc2016, WayneFleekHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
