Great news if we have an opening next year.

Funny how quick things can change. A year ago and Shertz was too small time for a job like IU. Now he’s turning down solid jobs in NC State.  There’s like a 5% chance UNC strikes out on everyone and offers him.

This goes to my overall point that instead of chasing hot names and getting into stupid bidding wars (and thus the long term, buyout heavy contracts which that entails), schools like IU should be reaching down further for the most talented young guys they can find . You can likely offer them more flexible contracts giving you the ability to move off quicker if need be.

Watching Michigan currently. It cannot be overstated enough, Dolson set the Indiana Basketball program back hiring Woodson / not firing him a year sooner.

That being said, I’m 100% okay being a football school now.

Fun fact:  Dusty May and Darian DeVries have both been HCs for 8 years.  They also have the exact  same winning percentage of .695.

It’s pretty clear Quinn and Ferguson were behind everything Woody.  Indy Star even wrote about it.

Scott had to fight tooth and nail to get rid of Woody in year 4.

One more time (say it with me) "THAT WASN'T DOLSON'S MESS". Look farther up the food chain.

Jeeze -- just when I thought he might be a Cedar Falls lifer, Ben Jacobson is headed to Utah State.

He was at Northern Iowa for 20 seasons and had opportunities to move on after a couple good NCAA runs, so I just figured that's where he wanted to be.

Duke's 3 losses were by a combined 5 points with the final leads being taken with 3 seconds, .4 seconds, and .4 seconds left. Unbelievable season.

Compare that with the graphic that showed them losing games after leading by double-digits in the second half. Admittedly they weren't all this season, but they were all against a Scheyer coached team.

Now, tell me, who doesn't love a good choke story?

And you know Tommy Amaker is watching that stuff and just kind of loving it.

He started 56 of 57 Juco games over two Juco seasons.

Rosters are far from set, but without Cluff they would currently be completely devoid of any inside scoring ability.

Probably explains why they're petitioning for another year.

They could have a 25 year old 6th year senior in their starting lineup next year and the Painter fanboys will continue to preach how Purdue does it "the right way."

Incredibly ironic when the "the only reason you're good is because you have 25 year olds playing on your football team" argument was sung loudest by Purdue fans.
