Their reaction speed wouldn’t have landed Dusty either. They would have had to fired Tang at the end of his 3rd year in order for their reaction speed to land Dusty Stuhoo, HoosierDevils and Home Jersey 3 Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted February 16 Posted February 16 To be fair, Tang led K-State to tournament success we haven’t sniffed in over 20 years. Woody could never. Ironically of course lost to Dusty in the E8 that year. All downhill since then. Quote
Hovadipo Posted February 16 Posted February 16 People claiming KState is going to try going the for-cause route. Could get messy if true. Quote

He has yet to beat a top tier team at home or on the road. No AP top 25 wins just yet. Yeah he did beat IU on the road but IU is a projected 9 seed at the moment and his other tourney quality wins are home wins over UCLA and USC 2 teams projected lower than IU. Most have those teams in the Last 4 in or last 4 byes which is squarely on the bubble. Non con Sos 259 and overall of 68. They are trending down with a tough schedule to play. They could easily play themselves out of the tourney. They have definitely played themselves to being close to bent on the bubble. My thing we Iowa was people were using McCollum and Iowa’s season as a point to show how IU and DeVries should of been doing it in year 1 and you could argue that IU has had the better season despite losing to them at home. Luckily for Iowa they have 6 games left to get it turned back around I would consider making the tourney year 1 at a place with below average resources for the B1G a good first season. You are right that the season hasn't fully played out yet, but he's going to make it unless they just collapse. (This is not a comment on McCollum vs Devries, just assessing Iowa's season in a vacuum.) I'm not sure they are trending down too much - they've won 6 of their last 8. Lost one game they shouldn't have, yes. Quote

Probably should have lost that game except for a kid decided to foul Stirtz while he was trying to call timeout. There biggest win of the year is at IU which is a projected 9 seed. No top of the bracket wins. They have 4 games left against the top of the B1G teams. If they go 0-4 in those games with their terrible non con sos they are going to be in trouble. Some have them as a 9 seed as of today. They are far from safe making the tourney Jeff Flabjohns, Hollywood Mike Miranda and HoosierHoopster 3 Quote

IU's tourney chances would be would be very different if we didn't barely beat UCLA and Wisconsin. Iowa is well within the cut line as of today. Could they fall out if they lose most of their remaining games, yea of course. Same as a lot of teams. Quote

IU is probably in better shape then Iowa as of today since they already of those quality Q1A wins in the bag. Iowa needs to start winning games against good teams (top of the bracket teams) something they haven’t done yet. Lucky for them the schedule sets up where they get those games at home.
