Not sure what is going on with Maryland athletics.  Football stadium was half empty for the few games that I saw and same with their basketball arena.  Kevin Willard seemed desperate to get out of there.

It’s bad.  They belong in the ACC.  They took the money but it cost them.

Their teams suck and look to be at a disadvantage in the NIL era.  Does not bode well

Going to say this while I still have the chance: the last time Purdue won a basketball game, we had zero national titles in football.

They still have mens soccer and lacrosse, I guess.

I believe there was a weird AD situation that led Willard to really want out of there. Plus, I think he’s just a much better fit in a basketball first conference rather one that’s ruled much more by football. Buzz Williams does have a history of tanking the first season on a new job, then “rebuilding” and getting the program at a decent—but not great/elite—spot in 4-5 years and then moving on. We’ll see if this holds at Maryland, but feels like unlike his previous stops Maryland fans do want men’s basketball to be back and I don’t know if they can handle empty arenas for another season.

Florida running away with it at home up 62-39 against Alabama with the student section chanting “G League Dropout” whenever Bediako touches the ball. Florida is looking really good of late, though they had that head scratching loss to the Steven Pearl Auburn.

The only Bama games I’ve seen this year are PU, Gonzaga, Vandy and this one. Oats needs to pay me not to watch them.

After barely missing out on the IU gig Turgeon lands on his feet.

Tang  at Kansas st would be an example of a new coach starting out hot in his first year going 26-10 with an Elite 8 appearance to not getting back in the tourney his next 2 years and looking like it being 3 years after the season

No doubt. He’s a likeable guy imo. But, KState has spent notable money.  Resource contribution seems strong.  Not great for him.

UW Milwaukee and Cleveland St with a wild finish. 
Cleveland St up 5 with the ball and 12 seconds left, UW steals but misses the layup, flagrant on Cleveland on the rebound for swinging elbow. UW hits both free throws and drills a 3 to tie it with 3 seconds left. Cleveland races up the sideline for a last second heave and UW does their best USC imitation and fouls the dude. Hits both and Cleveland St hangs on
