It was pretty rough at the end. Missed the tourney and two 11 seeds in the last four years. Didn’t make it out of the first weekend for 7 yrs straight. Only one FF in 15 yrs isn’t going to get you lifetime tenure. Heckuva coach though, so I am not sure what went wrong there at the end.

It’s a football school (and baseball) bf basketball, he wasn’t getting the kind of support he needed. He ended up better off, but Texas gave up on a very good coach in him

Of all places, I’m pretty sure UT doesn’t suffer from a lack of support. Besides, Tennessee is a football school. So is Alabama, UF, and Texas Tech. Coaches that underperform in the postseason season, always wear out their welcome.  It happens. IU fans complained about Knight at the end of his run.

I’m here in Texas, I know how UT handles things, not that this convo matters

I looked the players up on S-R.  Robinson was listed as a Jr. last season.  Not that it matters.

On other note.  Would the Feds get involved in this "case?"

Probably not, just 3 players relatively small amount and not sure if it’s a fed offense- — but then I’m a civil litigator I don’t practice criminal law so don’t have specific knowledge here

I don’t know where to put this, don’t even care, needs to be here somewhere. 40-something Chinese hooper in business casual putting on an absolute footwork clinic on some young dudes. Imagine when he was younger that guy got some work done against some pretty legit players.

SEC schools trying figure out how to cheat by circumventing NIL Go (what a ridiculous name that is). Who could've guessed!?

"Our visits are later, which is a good thing for us so we can see the market based on the visits they're already taking," one SEC assistant said. "The biggest unknown is what our budget's going to be. We know what our rev share number is potentially going to be. But are collectives going to come back in the fold and can we get that money back? NIL Go, will there be substantial deals? Will we be able to go around NIL Go? One of the biggest things teams are working on right now is how to circumvent NIL Go, figuring out areas that NIL Go can't touch."

That is a great article.

What a mess.  I would hate to be a coaching staff in this environment.  I've heard enough about CDD to be confident he can navigate this chaos.

I assume if there is a need to work around NIL Go with schemes like investing in a player's "business" vs. paying them for their N/I/L, IU will do what's needed to be competitive.  The money must flow.
