Would be very interesting to see them add Cousins along with Leonard, as has been rumored.

Lakers would likely be cutting against the current grain, trying to win with a frontcourt dominated team as opposed to perimeter players. I'm reasonably convinced that at some point, the pendulum will swing back to big men (the right big men, of course) being used to exploit inefficiencies and weaknesses of the small ball approach. Whether that group would be the one to successfully do it is anyone's guess.

With the way the game is currently officiated i dont see a change like that happening

I think the Lakers wait until next summer. It’d be stupid to blow up everything outside of LeBron when Ball and Ingram are on rookie contracts. LeBron isn’t going to be in LA forever. I’m guessing he is leaving to whatever team drafts his son.

Lebron doesn’t have a huge window. He is getting older. He has a ton of miles. He isn’t going to be that guy that can do what he did in playoffs against the east night in and night out in the West. He would wear down by the All Star break. When he was 30? Sure. Now? That’s a lot to ask.

Bronny Jr is only 13. Not a certainty LeBron is still playing by then. Jr still might not turn out to be as good as expected too, it's honestly too soon to tell.

The West isn’t what it was 5 years ago. They have worse teams at the bottom than the East. It is top heavy with GS and Houston. The Lakers will be a wait and see. LeBron will be able to take nights off just the same if not more than he did in the east. Just in the Lakers division alone will be 12 games against Sacramento, LA Clippers and Phoenix. All 3 will be sub 35 win teams.

They have worse teams at the bottom? The East had 5 sub 30 win teams. The West had 4.

The bottom 5 in the East also combined for 133 wins while the bottom 5 in the West combined for 129.

I don’t even know what to say if we have to try this hard. I mean we could go down the rabbit hole that shows the West was superior and those 4 games in difference aren’t exactly apples to apples. Or I could just stand by my original statement saying the East had 5 teams win less than 30 games. The West had 4. Out of those 4, I would be willing to say 2 or 3 got better. I don’t know where we are trying to go with this? The East is not the West and hasn’t been for years. If that is going out on a limb I guess I will stay there.

I am actually kind of impressed he went to LA. Not the hardest route to get back to the finals but there are certainly far easier places he could have gone to accomplish that.

I do expect a star to join him this year. He has always been on a win now team (when he could choose) and I would expect that to continue
