As long as our "down year" still results in getting invited to the tournament and being competitive in the B1G , I'm ok with a down year once in a while.  Making the tournament has to be the standard though.  As long as we make good tournament runs past the Sweet 16, and are winning conference championships, I can stomach a year where we get a 7-8 seed in the NCAA tournament and a 6th place finish in the B1G.

We need a difference maker at point and a solid backup big in 2018. Davis will be a load as a junior. JMo will be a play making mismatch nightmare at the four and CuJo will be a scoring machine as a junior. Adding Smith will give us a good role player, Moore will be an interesting prospect that could fill in nicely behind JMo. There are pieces but we need star power.

I think we need another wing and a big. Not worried about PG. Love Devonte Green's ability and upside. I actually wish he would get Newkirk's minutes. Love Cujo as well. They will be a year older and fully capable of leading the team. Get an impact wing and an instant impact big man transfer (there will be a few) and we will compete at a high level next year. I'm not really stressing at this point. Also not letting my expectations reach a certain level.

At this point, after several misses, get the best talent possible. I dont even care about position. Tucker is our best shot at talent right now.

I still cant begin to fathom how this year in recruiting turned out. Whenever I'm reminded by it, I just can't wrap my head around it.

Wait and see approach. Just wish we landed a dynamic piece. That was my primary hope.

That hope is gone now. Now it's just a matter of who we lose and how session 2 goes.

Seems like the last legitimate chance for IU to get a Top 100 guy in 2017.. 2017-2018 could be a tough year in Bloomington. A lot of "what if's" and relying on player development.
