(2017) SF Jordan Tucker- OV 11/30/16

Recommended Posts

Sounds like we've done everything right here. He appears to be a good kid and a Crean-type, three year player that is buying in to Crean's vision of player development. I'm feeling good about our chances, especially with the connections already to Moore and Green. We are going against the defending national champions who geographically would allow Tucker's family to see him play on a regular basis.

Regardless, I love this type player to go after (Top 100, 4*, three year player). Recruiting time certainly well spent whether or not he chooses us.

Edit: when will the CBs start changing? Still on Syracuse and L'Ville.

Good, man I really hope we land him.

High 4* and top 100 recruits are what we should be primarily focused on.

At this point, I trust Crean's development of players who buy into our program of player development more than I trust Crean's ability to recruit top-10 or top-15 out-of-state players.

Jerry Meyer did a facebook live chat thing today about IU and I asked the question where he thought tucker was going.

He pretty much sounded like he had no clue and said his recent pick was for Louisville, but kept saying tucker is IUs top target.. made me think he just guesses a lot.

Similar styles between us and Nova. Obviously Nova with more recent success works to their favor. Im worried.

Two advantages for the Hoosiers are our need for a scorer next year and the fact that he was in Assembly Hall for a game with an incredible environment. I've never been to a game at Villanova, but I doubt their fans will match the UNC environment when they play a 7-3 Temple squad.

Another thing in our favor is they have Mikal Bridges & Jermaine Samuels. Bridges is a lottery kid in the 2018 draft and Samuels is a top 50 recruit. Though I'm sure Nova has a way to figure it out, it will be somewhat of a factor I'm sure.

They also have the #9 SF in the Class, Jermaine Samuels. They must be telling Tucker that they plan to have both on the floor at the same time in the future.

Specially considering he could be announcing very soon. Smh I don't get it. First Wilkes shares everything IU related and looks like he is already on our team only to go to UCLA and then Tucker does the same. Worth noting neither share or retweet even half the other school's fans. If he does choose Nova we mah have a trolling problem.

For some reason I can't edit post on quick reply not meaning for 3 post, but I don't understand how Nova could beat us for him. If it was a big or a guard maybe. Bridges, Pascall & Samuels are all very good and play the same position. They could find a way to get 2 on the court, but we have a spot wide open for him to seize.

Lol Jerry Meyer picked not IU. His insight to our recruiting aside, I will probably fall over dead the day he actually picks us in advance of an announcement. Tucker is about 1-2 months away from popping. He is on his OV to Nova. I would be surprised if Meyer actually knew we got an OV considering how in tuned with IU recruiting he is.
