I was about to say an over/under on how many times he will refer to himself in the third person while he is on.

How many times does he mention I just have to get them over the hump?

It’s Isiah.

I was guessing Isiah or Cuban but the more I thought about it I thought IU might not want Cuban on as it would increase the narrative that he is giving IU football a trillion dollars a year.

Cody might have done a good job.

I woulda gone with Zander Diamont; he's historical IUFB personified:

  • Under-recruited.
  • Didn't win much.
  • Not big enough, strong enough, or fast enough.
  • Smart and salty.
  • Successful in life; just not at football.
  • Loves IU even though the football program was a hot mess.
  • Spent four years running for his life to avoid being squished by UM and OSU.

Remember Wilson’s face when taking pics with Zander and his mother?  Was hilarious!  Talk about uncomfortable.

Do ya'll still watch game day? Granted I got school to distract me from the dumb dumbs they employ to talk about how great the SEC is. Tho I do this with Fox too, since there are some people like Urban, I can't stand.  At most Iturn it on at the end of predictions

I don't watch it much anymore. It was great back in the heyday, but the last several years it tries too hard. Unlike most, I actually don't mind Herbstreit- but Desmond and Saban are the worst. Even though he is pro IU, not a McAfee fan either, just too clownish for my tastes. I have very refined and elegant sensibilities :{

Love that he is pro-IU. Can barely watch 30 seconds of McAfee. I guess maybe kids like it? So its good for recruiting?

Pat will always have a fan in me for the way he’s stuck up for IUFB the past few years. I don’t like game day either, though, and I generally dislike the barstool-ification of sports coverage. Pat is much more subdued on the NFL show.

Not a believer in Hoosier on Hoosier violence, but this is the no doubt dumbest take I’ve seen in a good minute.

It’s Isiah freaking Thomas.

I agree with you.  Isiah can come and cheer on for any program on campus for as long as he wants.  Being the PG on a National Championship team will give you that right just like it will for Mendoza when he is retired and goes back to B-Town.
