This one was huge in every way.  He’s a undisputed top 5 big man in the portal.

Did we want Estrella/Sherrell or was Sherrell the pivot?  Hard to say. Doesn’t matter as our 2 bigs look B1G ten level legit. Credit to staff to do what it took to keep him away from MSU.

This is the level of talent Indiana needs to roll with.

We sit at 9.

Two Big Ten Bigs. With an absolute Stud at PG.  And a crowd of guys at wing.

Need one or two more pieces but the engine is built for a successful season

My guess is that securing another big to be the primary 5 was a key factor in Sherrell's recruitment. When we missed on Estrella for that spot, we pivoted to Yig.

Playing Sherrell at the 4 will come with some defensive issues against teams with stretch bigs.  Plenty of tape on him in drop coverage and slow to shooters.  Think Race Thompson trying to cover the perimeter…May see Sisley more in those games and AS more in the 5 role

Offensive arsenal and rim protection though are upper level and much needed in the front court.

In this new age programs don’t really need juice and momentum anymore just money

Agreed.  Only need juice and momentum if trying to win recruits with equal dollar offers. Which is exactly why the only path this year was to boost the budget. (And hopefully start to prove concept). Glad we boosted that NIL to compete despite the lack of juice. Seemed like the powers that be figured that out by building a mid major All Star team the year prior.
