I hope Michigan beats UCONN by 40…..

And then, having won a national championship, he leaves Michigan to takeover the head coaching job of the Boston Celtics.  Ofc, Brad Stevens will assist him with masshole lessons.

I wasn't born when Quin played and I was a toddler when Woodson played. They may be "greats" to the older old heads, but my view of them is two dudes who f***ed over Indiana University for their own personal enrichment.

Some of the most egregious and shameless cronyism possible in the world of college sports.  That IU contract was ~$15-16M more than Woody could have made as an NBA coach flame out relegated to being an assistant.  That was what it was really about.

And I suspect that $15-16M went to the wealth mgmt firm where Quinn is a figurehead partner.

Anyways, I’m over it (thanks IUFB!), but I wanted to play the Fire Mike Woodson hits one more time.

Balance of scale…the current and past administrations as much as they got it wrong in the basketball program during and since Knight…..this current administration at least got it more right in the football program more than the basketball program has been wronged….even though luckily ….because it’s Curt Cignetti who actually got it most right in the football program because that was next to impossible….Dumb and Dumber there’s a one in a million chance….there’s a chance.…and Curt Cignetti has done the next to impossible regarding almost anything….it’s like the football program landed on the moon….and the basketball program ….

And to rub salt in the open sores about Woodson and Buckner, our '76 undefeated team will be honored at halftime Monday night and you know who will be there with his $hite eating grin.

Hopefully that's the final trial from Basketball-fan God. Surely we can't be Job for much longer.

I'm not convinced Dusty would've taken the job under the circumstances. It would've been pretty nasty  firing Woody after 3 years and the toxicity in administration.  It may have hindered the support necessary to build the year one roster. A lot of unknowns. Yaxel was a lot of money.

However, it would've been nice to have that team last night, in Hoosier uniforms with Mullins and others we missed on in the rotation.

How would you like to be Cronin watching Mara dominate Arizona?

Thank God we'll always have that magical last year of Woodson's tenure to soften the blow of watching Dusty May play for a title in his 2nd year at UM.

This is funny, but also so painful.

God, that is brutal.

Well this championship game is a kick to the sack.

The administration should be ashamed of how badly they botched it with the basketball program.

This was simply the actions of one singular, arrogant chairman of the BoT. Hope he's happy.

I do think Woodson was partially responsible as well. My guess is that the only way Dusty would have been our coach after Woodson's 3rd year, is if Mike Woodson would have willingly retired and endorsed Dusty. Mike wasn't willing to do that since he was delusional and thought he was a good coach.  I don't think Dusty would have wanted anything to do with running off a former star player and fracturing the fanbase and IU financial supporters.

Those "fractured" fanbase would have forgotten about Woody and the firing by game 5 of the next season. 5-0! Winning cures all.

That’s weird because the situation he inherited at Michigan was similar. If he worried about going into an easy situation he would’ve taken the Louisville job. I get the distinct feeling Dusty May doesn’t care too much about what his peers think about him.

The IU administration screwed it up royally. It is what it is.
