I am excited for this one. Expecting a Purdue win, but we already beat them once this year and crazy things happen in CBB, especially rivalries. Beating them on their floor would be sweet for so many reasons.

Purdue will be coming off 3 days rest since Michigan. We are coming off 5 days rest. Hope we make the extra prep time count. We match up a lot better here than against Illinois.

I think it depends on which IU team shows up.  I am hopeful it's the one that battles and fights the entire game.

gonna be a tough one. I think we can win but it will be a matter of if we can hit shots...gonna need more than Lamar to show up

This is absolutely correct. But in addition, they are going to have to get back to team rebounding in these last five games. Remember when Tucker had 10 boards 3 games in a row? Others have to show up besides Alexis, especially on the defensive board. Of course we all know this is where our lack of size tends to show up on the rebounding side and is so critical to this teams ceiling.

Gus Johnson, Steve Smith, and Allison Williams will call #iubb at Purdue for FOX Friday at 8 p.m. ET.

Gus Johnson’s mouth will be watering with the mentions of Cignetti and Mendoza. I don’t think he’s called a game of ours since the Big 10 title. He will make sure to get his football recognition out

Likely that either Tucker or TKR is going to have foul trouble. At Puredoo odds are pretty high that it will be Tucker. That'll be a major, major problem for IU.

Wouldn't surprise me if Conor also has early foul trouble in Mackey, but we have a pretty strong defensive plan B with Conerway for that issue.

If we can keep out of foul trouble I'd expect we will hang in and make a good game out of it. Purdoo is not Illinois or Michigan.

The other night against Michigan, Purdue didn't shoot a single free throw in the first half. Knowing Big Ten refs, and knowing how much we like to reach and grab, I expect a much different looking game tonight.

Interesting note from game 1; Conor played 40 minutes without a single foul.

Alexis picked up 3 in 14 minutes, Bailey 3 in 25, Tucker 3 in 35.

Sadly, the edited version is also true.

Currently fighting the urge to buy a ticket and walk into Mackey tonight wearing national champions gear from head to toe

Ha.

Regardless of if you do, rest assured everyone in their little round arena will be thinking about it, and maybe 122-3 as well.

This bball game tonight will at best provide them with a very temporary and mild respite to IU’s 16-0 CFB Natty.
