Get the euphoria out of your systems because the Huskers are undefeated (15-0) (4-0) and are not going to be a pushover.  They average 81 ppg with a +15 margin shooting 47% FG and 34% on 3s.  In comparison, they've limited their opponents to 38% and 30% respectively. They average 38 rpg with only a +2 margin so our usual weakness in rebounding may not be as glaring as it has been in many games.  They protect the ball with just 10 TO/gm.  Rienk Mast at 16.3ppg is their leading scorer; 2 other players average double figures.  5 players average 35% or more on 3s.  Mast is also the leading rebounder at 6.6/gm. followed by Buyuktuncel at 6.4 and Sam Hoiberg at 5.1.  Their assist/turnover ratio is just under 2.0.  Would be a statement win if we can pull it off

Watched them a couple times. They don’t have anyone that just wows you athletically, they aren’t super fast or really long. But most importantly they are playing as a team, they are super connected. This game being played at Assembly Hall has all the makings of an upset. This team is very beatable, it’s gonna be tough, but if we can get hot from 3, make some cuts to the basket, and make our free throws…we can pull this out.

So they're going to try to force us into a half-court game, very, very solid defensive team but we're close defensively and right there with them offensively -- if our guys are balancing long-distance sniping with cuts to the basket (let's go Lamar!). We need to move the ball well to avoid getting trapped into a half-court game, and need to balance our shooting with rim attacks. This is a winnable game, and with Neb coming in 15-0 our guys and Devries should be ready. One thing Neb has done in its 2 impressive B1G road wins is start fast and then protect the cushion from an early big lead. We need to come out ready, no slow starts against these guys.

Kevin Kugler and IU fan favorite Bruce Weber will call Nebraska at Indiana tomorrow at Noon ET for BTN.

Best listened to with Varsity Network and the GREAT Don Fischer on the call synced up with the telecast.

It doesn’t get any better than that.

GO HOOSIERS!!
