Our 8-2 Hoosiers will travel to Lexington on Saturday in their newly designed candy stripe hazmat warmups to face pUKe (6-4).  Hopefully we kept a few 3-point arrows in our quiver to unload against the Wildcats.  KY averages 86 ppg with a +19 scoring margin.  They shoot 49% FG and 33% on 3s.  They average 42 rpg with a +9 margin.  They average just 10 TOs/gm.  They have 5 players averaging in double figures.  They have 2 players over 40% on 3s.  Their best rebounder is former IU target Malachi Moreno at 7/gm.  While I'd dearly love to see a repeat of our PSU beatdown, that simply ain't gonna happen.  Miles wasn't even at the PSU game due to flu.  We surely don't need to find out on Saturday that we have multiple players battling that same crud.

We haven't played these SOBs in nearly 10 years.

I love this rivalry.  I really don't like them.  I really want IUBB to channel their inner IUFB and figure out a way to win this.

UK is good, but something is off with them this year (injuries and culture/chemistry), so teams that show up can beat them.  But it will be very tough and our guys will need to find a new level to win this game.

This is the kind of game our guys should get 'up' for. I was surprised they didn't get up for the Louisville game.

If our team vs. Marquette, KSU and PSU shows up we'll have a good shot at getting this big road W. Consistency, after the PSU game, bringing effort and ball movement like that on the road, is needed to get the W.

If it's the team that showed up against Minn and Ville it will be ugly. Time to put that crap effort behind us. Really like that Dorn has been getting better and better, and bringing some swag. He can be a key to this W.

Well, it was mentioned a week or so before the site troubles, but they are teaming Barkley and Vitale on the game with Dave O'Brien.  This will be an interesting broadcast.  I read somewhere that Vitale will also be doing NCAA games after they have asked him for the last 30 or so years.  I guess he figured that he better do it now he is past his cancer scare from the last few years and it is a time to say that he had done it.

It comes down to which UK team we get.  The one Gonzaga got or the one Purdue got.  At Rupp in a big rivalry game we'll get the latter.

That was preseason before the alleged locker room issues started and supposedly Painter does not gameplan for exhibitions.

IMO that's not super indicative of where things are at today for them. Granted, they're certainly capable of playing well and showed that vs UNC (3 point loss) and @ Louisville (8 point loss - 96-88, for comparison we lost by 9, 87-78).

Home crowd may get loud of course but the way the boo birds were out vs. Gonzaga, Rupp may feel a lot like Assembly Hall did for last year's players. Way worse actually.

We will see how IU starts in this game. UK fans think (rightly or wrongly, I truly do not know) that Pope can't connect with his guys and they don't really respect / buy into his leadership or style in general. I'd like to think we'll see IU come out playing like their hair is on fire keeping up the momentum from PSU and having learned some important lessons @ Minny and vs. Louisville.

Important game for both teams. Can't have a start like Louisville. Can't have an all around effort like Minny. Gotta put it all together and play how we're capable for 40 minutes. Hope DDV can get them to do that in this game better than Pope.

Feels like a classic ‘get right’ game for Kentucky. They will have a raucous home court advantage. We stunk in Minnesota. The UK team will have something to bond over. I don’t feel good about it, but then again with Indiana I haven’t felt good about a road game in half a lifetime against anyone.

I hope UK tries to overplay Lowe.

Our only chance is if we punch them in the mouth early and the fans turn on them. This is my hope.

There's one video I really wish I could find it's an oldie but a goodie.

A Kentucky video you say? An oldie but a goodie? Is it this one?
