I loved that quote from Cig. He knows how to use his public speaking moments to get his message across to the fans and players alike.  It’s tough to explain but he kind of knows how to circle the wagon whenever he feels like we’ve been slighted. I’m just some dope sitting on the couch but it made me puff my chest out a bit when he corrected that reporter.

My 10 year old had ball practice today and I realized we need to change the name of one of our BLOB sets that uses screens away from the ball. We picked at random last year a name beginning with 'A' so they remember A = screen Away. 

Well, it's named Alabama. The obvious thing to do is change it to Indiana, but at 9 and 10 years old some of the kids' heads would start spinning and never stop if we change it now. I guess the next best thing to do is just retire the play because I can't in good consciousness be yelling that out across a gym floor this weekend.

The communication style is intuitive and fantastic. He leans back with first question and gives a matter of fact answer, and then when she asks why the moment wasn't too big he does a verbal double take, and then does this brief lean in and says "Why should the moment be too big? Because our name’s Indiana?” 

The reporter was likely just a little scared. The visual is excellent:

Only team with a bye in the 12 team format to advance, is that right? On paper, things definitely broke in our favor yesterday. I'd have preferred TTU to Oregon. Respect to them. I think this just may be a team of destiny fellas. 

It will be Indiana vs Ole Miss for the title, with Indiana not only completing its meteoric rise to destiny by claiming a previously unimaginable NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, but also keeping Lane Kiffin from earning a million dollar bonus for abandoning his playoff team while he sits there like a slug on his new couch somewhere in Louisiana. 

We truly have a destiny to fulfill.

But those Black and Hemby rushing TDs were so damn satisfying.  IU kept wearing down Alabama until they broke and we ran right through their entire #9 SP+ defense full of "high end" recruits with 18 and 25 yard runs.  Those two were superb yesterday and I'm glad they got a couple scores.

Nothing better than giving someone a pigskin enema.  :)
