As far as I understand, conference tie ins dont matter if the game is part of the playoff. Rico 1 Quote

I could be wrong but from I’ve read it sounds as if the top ranked BT team, as long as they are a top 4 “bye team”, will be assigned to the Rose Bowl. Quote
Dave from Dayton Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 Indiana football is only 7th in the nation according to the below linked ranking. Wisconsin (not shocked here) sold over $3.1 million. Several other Big 10 schools appeared on the list, including Minnesota in fifth ($1,038,758.67), Michigan in sixth ($985,266.05), Indiana in seventh ($983,394), Illinois in tenth ($743,690.59) and Michigan State in 11th ($234,016.73). https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/college-football/article-15258479/wisconsin-football-big-10-alchohol-sales.html Quote

Averaging over a beer and a half sold per seat is punching in an elite beer-drinking weight class. We're leaving revenue on the table imo. When they jack my season ticket prices up and force me to make another non-deductible donation (typing that made me vomit. Call it a PSL or even just call it a fee; don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining), I'll simply ask why they can't charge Big House beer prices to carry some of the load. The feds at one time would break up or deny the consolidation, but they don't anymore. You got 4 companies that have about 80 to 85% of the beef market for example, and you wonder why prices skyrocket sometimes. Need someone with guts to bust them up, but money talks. cthomas 1 Quote

The only reason that Wisconsin is not at the top of this list is because for a Saturday game they start tailgating Thursday night/Friday morning and have consumed quite a bit of alcohol before ever entering the stadium. Been there, done that. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote

In all fairness, when I was a student at IU you could bring whatever you wanted into Memorial Stadium, as long as it was covered. TL:DR The RB is finalizing visits to Indiana, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. Unless Mickens plans to visit during a bye, I would assume Cig and Coach Miller are targeting hosting for the Wisconsin game in two weeks. Additionally the article mentions WR Davion Brown as another flip to keep an eye on from PSU. Indiana, Maryland, and K-State are mentioned as primary contenders here. Something worth watching, the staff has 2x WR committed for '26 (Rupert and Bryson) and are reportedly leading for former PSU commit Lavar Keys - does the staff take 4x WR in the class? Personally, I could see it with so much offensive firepower moving on after the season - looking at Williams, Sarratt, Brady, Jackson (who entered the portal), and potentially Omar - and these things just work themself out. 247 is reporting that Mickens will be in town for the Wisconsin game next weekend with a planned visit to Oklahoma on 11/28.
