This is why I refused to get excited about Wilkerson at all. Other schools just know how much they have to outbid IU by. This dude will be in the SEC next year imo. CSP and AkronHoosier 1 1 Quote

While the portal helps it also hurts. There are a lot of kids available to recruit from the portal but you also generally have most of your team go into the portal. Chris007 and skhoosier2 2 Quote

Scotty R Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This has nothing to do with the quality of the IU job but more to do with the coaches being happy where they are at. These coaches just use other openings to get more money from their current employer. It just doesn't make since to make a lateral move at best and leave a very successful program. You don't want too your family across country if you don't think it is necessary so you don't mess with winning or happiness. iu eyedoc and Chris007 2 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This is the problem with only being willing to pay the fair market value. Other teams will usually just match Quote

ronzo4IU Posted April 8 Posted April 8 So if we miss out on Murphy, does anyone know who our most realistic options to fill out our assistant coaching positions would be? Quote

I know Drew is supposed to be a pretty good recruiter, especially in the Midwest, but are we looking for more player development or recruiting or both? Quote
