Not like we didn’t know this, but they stepped up pretty good on the staff.

Indiana Athletics has been spending and I couldn't be happier about that.  Once we get the right choices in place, and hopefully, this is it, we should start competing relative to our spending.  The recruiting offers in 2026 tell me 2 things.  We are still going to swing for the fences.  I love this.  And we might figure the value of relatively top High school players might moneyball what the Portal was doing this past offseason where the market was bananas.

Why has it been so radio silent on the hirings? Very odd. Never seen it before in college athletics.

Right.  They are not even listed on the IU website yet, which is odd.  That along with the roster not being posted either.

I guess we haven’t hired the person responsible for updating the website yet. lol.

I've done some work with IU, and when it comes to things like websites and marketing, we had to go to central departments that from what I could tell seem to do it for the whole school.  And let me tell you they move slow.

So I suspect the athletic dept has to submit what they want for the bball webpage to that central IT department that does the websites.  It's probably some combination of the AD being lazy and the IT department being slow.

This isn't a big deal, but it's amateurish and it sort of annoys me because it's a basic effort thing.  And really our whole athletics site looks terrible.  I know this is a pointless rant, but I'll post it anyways...

Cuban Center runs IUHoosiers, but other than that you’re spot on. It moves at a snail’s pace and is largely an afterthought.

Usually the specific team pages with regard to roster and staff pages gets handled by the SIDs, however, and those folks are pretty good. Which makes me think the lack of updates is administrative/by design instead of lazy this time.

did mike woodson update the website? have we been wrong about him all along?

I think it was Armond Hill!

On a serious note, it's the SID's responsibility to update the website and post press releases. I haven't seen anything like this where there's simply no press releases. I don't see the reasoning behind it, there should be nothing holding it up other than someone saying don't release it.
