It appears that over the last few weeks, playing time is being distributed on how you play and not how much you are making or how much playing time you were promised.  Playing more minutes with one big man on the floor and giving a role player in Leal more minutes has definitely helped on floor chemistry.

Basically Woodson is coaching to win games instead of coaching to keep promises he made to players about playing time.

Narrative is that Woody is doing this punitively (not talking to IU media), but alternatively and albeit very charitably it could also help the assistants get exposure for their next jobs. I for one have actually enjoyed listening to Yasir Rosemond in particular. I felt he has a grip on what’s going on, and is able to express it tactfully. Probably have enjoyed and learned more from his chats with Fisch than I ever did with Woody. Hope he finds some low major or D2 HC gig after the coaching change and maybe he can work his way up. In my lifetime there’s no way. Pre 96, maybe? What he did today was baffling. Goode also shot 9 threes in this game and I would love to see him at 7-10 nightly from here on out.

Washington’s defense was horrible—that’s how Goode got so many clean looks from three. Higher quality teams gameplan denying shooters like Goode from getting that many opportunities.

Yeah, if you can’t control a post scorer but are unwilling to double them, can’t stay in front of dribble penetration but also can’t tag it and yet are still losing shooters, that’s a triple crown of bad and you’re not beating anybody.

I too am one that has enjoyed listening to YR. I’m not saying give him a HC job right away. But guy deserves some looks at the lower level. If he doesn’t know what he’s talking about then he’s got me fooled

I was about an hour behind from watching the game live. Great job by our Hoosiers, and noticed the staff put in a few plays that I thought really helped on offense. Liked the screen set letting Malik drive to his left, giving him space to get to the basket with not a clogged lane. 
 

Only nitpick is going to the big lineup with Galloway and Leal on the bench. Gave Washington some life. Please stay away from that!

Rewatching the game right now. Nothing really new, it was pretty straightforward. Rock solid effort from IU and when Kepnang wasn’t on the floor UW was the worst defensive team they’ve played all year. But 1 thing I can’t get over: if you’re gonna spend the kind of jack they spent on Osobor why in God’s name did you not get someone to run your offense and get that kid the ball in the right spots? You might as well have taken that 2 mil and lit it on fire.
