Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Bobby Knight Matt Painter famously said about Dale Brown Mike Woodson, "I was worried about losing until I looked down the floor and saw Dale Brown Mike Woodson. Then I knew we had a chance," reflecting his confidence in his team's ability to win against Brown's LSU Woodson's IU team. We've lost 3 in a row and 5 of last 6. Have we won at Madison this millennium? I didn't bother to research the question. Badgers currently (16-5) (6-4) and 11-1 at home. They play at Northwestern later today and I saw Barnhizer is out. Badgers average 82 ppg with a +11 scoring margin. They shoot 36% on 3s and outrebound their opponents by 3/gm. 5 players average in double figures led by John Tonje at 18.2/gm. and he's a 41% 3-point shooter. Max Klesmit is their highest volume 3-point shooter but only makes 28%. They shoot 47% FG vs 42% by their opponents. Balanced rebounding team with 4 players that average 4.6-5.7/gm. They average 11 TO/gm. Not sure our Hoosiers are mentally tough enough to look past the last 2 particularly painful losses. When Woody offered Armond the job, Woody said you'll be less than an hour from Nap-Town. Armond got all giddy (as much as someone his age can get), then fell asleep. Recker, Guyton, Patterson and a young Lewis is not a bad top of the rotation. Unfortunately Guys like Richardson also played 20 min a game. Luke Jimenez played 10+ min. The away losing streak to UW is mostly us being bad x Bo Ryan. We could break it at any point and should have two years ago. Quote
Whoozhers Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Finally….. we have seen the HUMP and it US! Now. What will be done about it Mr. Dolson? Regardless, Beat the cheese outta the Badgers! Quote
HoosierCoop Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I wish that this staff would see what they had special in West Lafayette and play that new core group line-up. They have seen a good recipe but they try and add the same old ingredients Just doesn't taste right. Ballo, Goode, Gallaway, MM, Leal, I'll even throw Hatton out there (he is playing better than Reneau). DougWil and Ryno6284 1 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 The Daily Hoosier - It will be Noah Eagle and, you guessed it, Robbie Hummel on the call for Peacock as #iubb plays at Wisconsin tomorrow night at 9 p.m. ET in Madison. Hoosiers going for their first win there since 1998. LIHoosier 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted February 3 Posted February 3 If we're gonna wait another 5-6 weeks with firing/retiring Woody, can Dolson get a restraining order against Hummel? In 23 games, I think the Bahamas series has been the only games without Bobby Boiler hanging around. Quote

Dave from Dayton Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I don't want to watch a road game to Wisconsin. Certainly not with Coach Woody humping it. On Peacock? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. OliviaPope40, WeeDerkaNaut, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 3 others 6 Quote

Dave from Dayton Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Looking for a cheap, good bourbon. Maybe, Winter Reserve Jim Beam 7 year. I will celebrate having graduated from IU when IU went undefeated. Home city is Evansville. Could not wait to see the world. Moved to Madison and lived walking distance to campus, State Street and the Capitol. Madison was a great place to be in 77 to 82. Live music, snow skiing, ice skating, canoeing near bird rookeries, camping, friends, food, sailing on the lakes, travel to boundary canoe waters in MN., Canada explores, fun stuff. Man! Their football was competitive and filled the stadium. Hockey was extremely great. Studied for my 2nd degree and went to all the IU vs UW games. Ugh. I am cheering for IU to win against Wisconsin. Just win, baby! I just can't see it. Okay, maybe not looking for a cheap bourbon. My go to is Four Roses Small Batch. I like New Riff...special reserve. I'll take a good rye old fashioned. *Picked up Jim Beam Single Barrell Selected Batch...I am going to enjoy the game tonight. Really hate missing the NCAAT. Boo. str8baller 1 Quote
