This.  If Kidwell is granted another season/wants another season, you can pencil him, Carter Smith, Bray Lynch, and Drew Evans in for four of the five spots.  I would love get 2-3 more lineman (starting OT and experienced depth.).

I trust CBB, but this is a young unit, with 7 true or redshirt FR for '25, that would benefit greatly from So/Jr. talent infusion.

Mendoza is clearly the staff’s guy and if so then I want them to get him. And there are plenty of legit reasons. But, man, there is 1 thing that bugs me about him: his frame. Both the Cal roster page and ESPN list him at 6’5” and 225. I’ll take their word for it on 6’5”, but there is no universe in which that kid weighs 225. I’d be willing to be a mortgage payment he’s closer to 205. His durability would concern me, though his history is good. Get him committed, get him on campus, and get 20lbs of muscle on him.

He was able to absorb 41 sacks last year. Seems durable enough.
