Hysterically on point with exactly what several of us said during and after the UNC-G game.
I’ve wondered if the group-like subs were because these are early, easy games, for development of the bench players.

Whether it was or wasn’t those sub patterns have to go away against teams like Ville etc. We’ll see in the Ville game if staff knows what they’re doing, or not.

Can someone send this to Woodson? Lol, but, uh, maybe seriously

I imagine this will be the game where we start to see that scaled back. Would think they’ll play 8 guys and the only issue I have with any lineup you can create from that group is the rebounding issue when Ballo‘s not on the floor. That problem would solve itself if Reneau got committed to it. The idea that that kid is averaging 6 boards a game against the teams they’ve played is nuts. His personal goal should be outrebounding Ballo every game.

I hope they force Reneau to watch the film of his rebounding efforts during the UNCG game. He walked under the rim without putting a body on anyone more than a few times. It was not good at all.

I don’t love the Galloway, Tucker, mbako , Goode, (center) lineup. Average to poor 3 pt shooting at two perimeter spots. One ball handler on the floor.

Otherwise I agree with your thesis. An 8 man rotation is tough to screw up with this squad.

I largely agree with the lineup adjustments in the above-quoted Hoosier Illustrated article.

The article breaks down the problems pretty well. Need continuity of floor leadership — Rice, Gallo. Need continuity of scoring, stop subbing out Bako early when he’s in rhythm and hitting. That’s just plain stupid. Need continuity generally of the starters with complimentary subbing not across the floor substituting over a couple minutes.

I hate playing high-volume three-point shooting teams. They could go 10/40 but that means a lot of long rebounds and we kind of suck at rebounding.

We suck at guarding 3s and rebounding. Recipe for disaster. Let’s see how bad these boys want to win.

All that being said, I laid a 50 spot on our Indiana Hoosiers because Mike Woodson ain’t gonna put up with anymore slander. Lol.

They suck at rebounding even worse. We're favored in this game for good reason. Not to say Louisville can't win, but Ville got thrashed by Tenn and had to win ugly against Winthrop. We're the better team.

Now we get to see if staff has the right approach and stops the stupid sub patterns, so we win as we should.
