MYLES RICE (PG,6’3”) to Maryland via Portal

I don’t think it can be underestimated how massively important this addition to the Indiana Hoosiers is.

A point guard that can score at all three levels.

A true leader on and off the court.

First team All PAC 12 and PAC 12 freshman of the year.

Three years of college eligibility remaining.

A truly mature personality, who has overcome extraordinary challenges, of which basketball challenges will pale in comparison.

A player whose skill and leadership will attract other outstanding players of character to Indiana.

Congratulations to the staff, especially Coach Ya, who got this player to believe in the plan and his role at Indiana University.

This one is a really big deal.

I want to see guards penetrating and MM taking 7-8 threes a game on catch and shoot.

Maybe a backcut from any player on the court?

Maybe a baseline cut oppo from a guard drive?

Kudos to Myles, Indiana, and Staff.

If we get Ballo, Carlyle. Return TG, MR, MM. And add BT.

Does the media respect Woodson enough to preseason rank that talent?

Better than what Indiana had this season by the looks of it. We’ll see how it translates to a better conference. 
 

Not to down play the first team selection. But the PAC 12 selects 10 to the first team. So weird.  Goodbye to the Pac12!

Yes. One per year.

Myles Rice as a freshman point guard was at the level on a 27 win team that Jalen Hood Schifino was at IU.

Now we have that player a sophomore. Would you have liked a player of JHS’s accomplishments and talent to have returned as a sophomore?

FWIW, the Kyle Macy Freshman All-American team picks 30 freshman for its All-American freshman team.  Myles Rice was picked for it;  no Big Ten player was.
