A lot of times these guys report this stuff in this way just hours or even minutes before it becomes official so they can claim they have good sources to improve their credibility. We may not get 'better' but we can get better than what we had last season and move forward with more for possibly less if we have to. Without him, Burton is a big need but a lot of holes otherwise. Landing Sherrell and Burton takes this class way up a few notches. Seems like we have been to the 11th hour a few times in the past and ended up short.
